I finally got a decant of this. I wasn't a big fan of the opening, but as it's sat for 30-60 minutes, I love it. The honey/vanilla/cedar just lingers. So happy I came back to this video as I got to try it!

Aaron this is one of my favorite Cologne ever. At 70 years old this is one cologne that has a true Darkness and live up too the name. Being retired I wear it in cologne Oil, compliments after compliments there's nothing like Back to Black. If my oil is this close if I could afford the actual Killian Black to Black all can say is WOW

Hi Aaron. I truly trulyyyyyy invested on this one. I actually bought another Kilian which I also INVESTED was Amber Oud more expensive to Back to Black. Both perfume are Kilian Killer. SERIOUSLY. Another banging review. I like Kilian's quality and a few of the line are decent. I'm not a fan of tobacco frags as a rule but thought this was really nice, although I get mostly flowered honey more than tobacco to be fare. I'm looking forward to smelling your Tob/Oud/Van as i've great things about it!!

I bought this fragrance around the time it came out. Then it was possible to buy 30ml (4x7. 5 ml little glass bottles) meant to use in a travel spray and for the 30ml i think i paid around 30-40 euro's. Now you have to buy the fragrance with the travel spray which is much more expensive. But yes, worth it ☺ Wonderful review, thank you.

Fell in love with the way you describe fragrances in Frag-Mental videos. Just saw you have your own channel. Instantly subscribed. Which of your own fragrances you would recommend the most for office and/or dressed up in a suit? I'm so gonna buy your stuff. The way you describe, the details, the metaphors etc. Simply amazing. The Perfume Parlour version of this smells, to me, very good and also alot like leather balm (the smooth honey/beeswax note/accord). Might upgrade to the original product at some point. On a side note, together with the lavender from my aroma diffuser it smells even better, makes me want to track down a honey/beeswax and lavender perfume.

Finally, we found love! I’m sure if you and Kilian Hennessy have a sit down that would be epic. Because he describes his fragrances with the same intensity and affection but just a bit subdued because of media training but anyway, we all love dramatic innit? Good one ATH!

Yes Kilian! I don't have $300 for a bottle but might just sample a decant. Love your review! One of the first that got me on the fragrance train was Black Phantom by Kilian. I could only afford a decant. I then set out to find a more affordable "inspiration" I could wear, landing on Alexandria Fragrances, and then Genre Parfums version. Also another one of my faves is from a different house- Nassamotto, scent Baronda. Love the boozy notes. Do you have a favorite boozy fragrance?

Great review as always. I must say you're looking nice and refreshed today. I like this fragrance, but the fragrance didn't like me. The honey note was a killer on my skin. It basically turned to a wee wee smell. I've been scared of trying anything with the strong honey note ever since.

The Kilians are in refillable bottles so initially you’re paying for the bottle too. They sell their refills at about half the price of the standard bottles so you could just buy a refill bottle & decant into an atomiser & save 50%

For me, Back to Black smells absolutely weak. The spray spot on my wrist disappeared after a few minutes. Maybe I got myself a defect decant. I own other fragrances with excellent essential oil content that my hand stay shiny for hours after spray.
