Hosah was being reasonable. You will move on even if it takes a lifetime eventually the pain will fade and you will come to terms with their death. Accepting death and loss is important and once you do you no longer feel it the same way because the pain comes from not dealing with your feelings and emotions on the matter. If you embrace and accept your emotions instead of foolishly trying to control them you will find that they are much softer and "in control" than if you had tried to manipulate them in any way. The idea that you need to control your emotions is just insane and shows a complete lack of understanding of emotion and mental state to begin with. Unfortunately people commonly lack such understandings and say and imply things like "logic and emotion are opposites" when they are not. They do not conflict at all unless you have deeper problems with your emotions and/or logic. Point is that Hosah was not being heartless. He said the pain will fade, and it will. You can look back fondly on all those you have loved and remember them without feeling upset at their loss because its just a part of life.

Why immortality would suck: 1. Everyone gone excluding you(unless they become immortal) 2. No one to talk to 3. No one would ever find out 4. Time would fly 5. You would be very bored 6. You'd eventually go insane 7. You'd eventually get trapped somewhere forever or something bad would happen to you 8. You're still getting older(either mentally, physically, or both)
