One Saturday morning my wife and I came into our parish church where the pastor had installed an electric fountain. A couple of women ran to us to say they could see an image of the blessed mother in the fountain. I went to look and I saw what appeared to be an image of our Lord. I told the women that I couldn’t see Mary, but I did see an image Jesus. They took another look and now they could see our Lord and our Lady. When the pastor heard about this, he promptly unplugged the fountain and that was the end of that.

That is not true. If you go on pilgrimage and stay at his home you are allowed to go into his private chapel for his apparition a few times if you are fortunate. There is no paid for front row seat either. You sit where you can. Pilgrimage homes or restaurants are the only way anyone can live in this area. Lourdes and Fatima is actually more commercialized.

I knew a priest who went to Megjugore in 2002 . He spoke 30 different languages. He said that,he didn't know if it was true or not, however, he was listening to confessions for hours on end. He had a lot of people in his line because he was multilingual. He said the conversions were very beautiful and powerful. Throughout the years, I have heard about many positive encounters. Fr. Don Calloway even had a powerful encounter there as well. I thought to myself, If it was not from God, it would have dissipated a long time ago.

No evil spirit is going to want the amount of conversions n prayer that is going on in Medjugorge - thats the fruit we should be focusing on.. prayer, repent and above all the Holy Mass n Eucharist are the messages from this Holy place. How blessed are we that our mother knowing the times to come n the evil that is amidst us has been appearing regularly for 43yrs to bring more people back to God than ever before and not abandon us... lets give thanks n heed the messages - pray pray pray... My Mother and Dad had gotten caught in a Medjugorje episode at a Church in our area. It was totally charismatic, and they were selling their books for a steep price. When my Mother asked where the money for the books was going, they acted very angry, and said "For more books". Mary is a woman of few words. My Aunt sprained her ankle at Medjugorje. It was all swollen and painful. With prayer, the ankle was fine the next morning. While I do not follow Medjugorje anymore, it was the vehicle of my reconversion and I cannot deny that. I went there on my first ever pilgrimage and I did see the sun spin and my rosary did turn gold. I am not making this up. Now can the enemy work prodigies? Yes. But Medjugorje is still a holy place because of all the sacraments offered there, the countless confessions and the many daily Masses. My conversion has been a permanent one and I attend daily Mass and a Sunday TLM. Also regular confession. I would call that a 'fruit' because I was a very lukewarm Catholic before with years before my last confession.

Did you have your rosary checked with a jeweler to find out if your rosary turned to actual gold? The reason I'm asking is because silver can turn a gold color when exposed to oxygen (air!) and moisture. So, if it isn't actual gold, there is a scientific reason for this. I and my husband went to Medjugorje last Feb.. I did not see miracles with my naked eyes but I saw miracles in our hearts… a big change in me and my husband.. in our ways, wants, desires, prayers, will.. all that is innate.. there’s openness in us to walk the journey as pilgrims on earth… we still do falter but our Faith is strengthened and anchored always in heaven.. Thank you for your sincere. The messages in Medjugorge coinside with those from Luz de Maria and those in Mundo Catolico. The Virgin Mary woould not let anyone stray in a totally wrong direction. The reason she is appearing more often is because of the times vs. Fatima and Lourdes ( Catholcism was stronger than). Now evil has the strongest temptations in history. I am not sure if the have heard about exorcist having harder, longer times in liberating those actually possesed. Because there is so much sin. Open you eyes... do not critize the Church or even individual priest. If you do get a bad vibe, pray to the Holy Spirit, only he can guide you. I recently had a priest that sounded soooo Protestant... but the mass is valid. How did he sound Protestant...? Basically it sounded like once saved always saved. I was internally shocked. I will pray for discernment, but meanwhile I can attend another Church. Seriously, you will know when both The Warning and The Miracle happen. You will see how all the Apparition sites will have the signs. ... You will see Medjugorje with a sign. Fall to your knees and repent and take back all the bad things you said. Some of you will pray to the Holy Spirit for discernment and you'll get it. Hey, one last observation on this channel... you sure a judging others, and there experiences. Doing the Will of God is the narrow gate. ??? 2 Peter 2 or Matthew 7: 20s??? God loves you so much, put your TRUST in him not in a pastor or unordained Pope. What is an unordained Pope? This is our story as well... We didn't even know much about Medjugorje and were new to our conversion of hearts..and we didn't experience anything miraculous except saw and experienced first hand great piety, love, peace and complete devotion to Jesus and our faith. And no one was trying to "sell us" on anything... We came back with very very different hearts and our lives have truly never been the same since...we go to daily mass and our lives are just different..we went with no expectations and left with our hearts changed and full...ready to do God's will and live for Him and Him alone. 🙏

I have friends who have been to Medjugorje and believe it, completely. My husband's aunt went to Medjugorje with a priest and group from her church (she is a faithful Catholic) and she said she felt the entire thing is demonic. There are a few things that make me think it is not a true apparition of Mary. Most things she says sound good, and then every once in a while, she says something that seems off. Medjugorje seems to be a tourist town, with repeat visitors, mostly from the USA, and most everyone who lives there depends on these apparitions for their income. This was proven to me during Covid, when, first, Mary said she would not be appearing anymore for awhile. (convenient?) and during the lull in apparitions, Jacov made a video asking people to send money because they didn't have any money coming in to live on. I didn't see requests from Fatima or Lourdes like this, so it made me wonder about it. Also, the attention the seers are getting. Most every other person who had seen apparitions hated the attention, but not this group. I watched a talk show in Ireland where Vicka was a guest, and her entire demeanor while going on and on about the apparitions made me raise an eyebrow. Also, the video that was made of Vicka flinching when someone thrust his hands towards her eyes, and then she said Mary almost dropped baby Jesus (not possible). Apparitions happening wherever the seers travel and they seem to be scheduled, and sometimes the apparition times rescheduled. I've never seen that before, either. But, what really has me wondering is the cult that has grown from this. People are either in or out. I know of people being ostracized if they don't believe in Medjugoje, they are avoided, ignored when at church events, and labeled by those who believe and follow. I've never seen such a thing happen with Fatima or Lourdes apparitions, either. The sheer volume of messages is of concern, as well. On the other hand, I've seen many people pray the rosary daily because of medjugorje and come back to the faith or convert for the first time. I've come to the conclusion that Jesus knows your heart. If the apparitions are not from heaven, Jesus and Mary see faithful people who come there and they help them in a variety of ways, OR it absolutely is true. I lean towards it not being true, but readily admit, I don't know for certain. Either way, no one is required to believe in any apparition, because apparitions are not part of the deposit of faith. Yes, this is Church teaching.

They simply don’t attract me, with several exceptions of course. Our Catholicism offers enough to keep us occupied and FULFILLED from now until we leave our earthly coil. I’ll stick with that.

Out of all the beautiful psalms from the Old Testament, this song which was sung by the Union Army during the Civil War is supposedly Mary's favorite? This is too much for me to believe.

I've tried to believe, however I watch the visionary climb that hill & be videod..her facial expressions are the same each time along with the hand gestures as if its a performance. She's very sad as if receiving some upsetting news. Then her messages apparently from the Blessed Virgin are bland, or rather nice, a sweet call to prayer. But her facial expressions are the same every month. Then yes very convenient to stop during Covid. I may be totally wrong. I have been to Medjugorje twice and had very emotional experiences there and I also have evidence of supernatural events of which I have photos. You don't have enough information to make the claim that those are the only two options. You don't see the complete picture, how things will play out. Look up the demonic deception of Magdalena de la Cruz. There were lots of "good fruits" from all over Europe until the deception was uncovered. It is also true that the demons do not see the future, although they can take good guesses. That right there should cause one to throw out any argument of "Satan would not" simply because it's possible that they staged a deception that backfired, only to be continued by "seers" who kept a charade going. The net result could be good while the apparitions false. These are not mutually exclusive.

So I've been on the fence for a long time now. I read Mirjana Soldo's book, and she mentioned that during the Bosnian war everywhere around the Medjugorie was hit badly, but Medjugorie was miraculously untouched. This is a sincere question - could "the enemy" have enough power to keep Medjugorie safe? Thats one thing that kept me on the fence. Also, there are videos where large groups of people (unrelated pilgrims) are together witness "sun miracles." Like the sun is filmed and then the camera moves to the crowd and they're all talking about it. Does the enemy have that kind of power? I always thought only God could manipulate something like the sun? These are sincere questions btw. Im super interested in what you would make out of these things.

Medjugorje is true. I've been there twice and also read this same book. Go and find out for yourself. But go in an attitude of prayer and self reflection. That is the only way to benefit from any pilgrimage. But not just pilgrimage. We always need to be in a state of prayer. If one goes to the grocery store with a negative attitude, he's likely to notice a rotten apple that warps his whole experience; don't you think?

there are some inaccuracies in that book that were answered later on. unfortunately that book is from the 80s and relied heavily on bad translations and misinformation. Michael Davies admitted that he didn't believe in medjugorje even before writing that book which shows his bias. He was also super into ssspx and lefebvre which is a problem in itself.

@@Dienekes678 I’m on the fence myself. I’d rather spend far less money visiting an approved apparition site that’s closer to my home. If people go to Medj and are strengthened in their faith, great. I prefer to leave judgment of it to time and the Church. I do have friends that are devotees of Medj. and can be a bit pushy about it sometimes. They speak about it as if its approval is a given. And some of the people here in the comments are rather rude and judgmental to undecideds like myself. Saying we’ll repent and be on our knees, for ex. This is not helpful and is far more likely to push people away than convince them. I think we ALL need to remember that HOW we debate is every bit as important as our arguments themselves. It’s good also to remember that we can be devout Catholics in good standing without believing in any approved (let alone not-or not-yet approved) apparitions.

I went to Medugorge in 1988 and had 2 rosaries turn from silver to gold. I also witness fresh blood along the way of the cross going up the mountain. I’m a nurse and no one around me was injured or bleeding. It was reported that Christ’s blood would appear to believers there. I didn’t even know this before I went there and Christ showed me this along the Way of the Cross. I had a strong faith before I went but I felt so blessed by the experience

Why do several people here say those who doubt Medj. will “regret it,” “be sorry,” and “fall to our knees and repent”? It’s perfectly fine to question apparitions. The Church Herself has a rigorous process for assessing purported phenomena and even then does not oblige us to believe. Why do so many Medj devotees (here at least) get defensive and threaten those who are questioning as if we’re bad Catholics? We’re all brothers and sisters here. If Medj. draws you closer to Our Lord, great. There are countless devotions in the Catholic faith, enough to suit every person. We don’t all have to follow this one or live to “regret it.”

They are not rich. They live well for Croatians but by American standards are not rich. They own homes. they all work hard jobs and have children and large families to support. Most Croatians live in homes with other family members, often elderly. They are not rich at all

Reading through the list of apparition sayings starting from the early 80s is enough evidence that they are not of divine origin because the statements are very banal. Someone with familiarity with the Holy Scriptures or the remains of the Fathers and saints would reject them as phony because of their poor quality. An atheist would find them boring and endlessly repetitive. The statements are nothing more than what an AI bot could produce from elementary exhortations in a typical sermon. Go to mass. Pray. If truly from Mary, then she has lost the poetic ability she demonstrates in the Magnificat. Which is illogical and impossible. There is no special insight into the problems of our age. I would think more likely it is a demonic deception to waste people's time and energy and distract from the work the demons are accomplishing in the divided churches through ignorance, indifference and practical atheism, and from the kind of repentance and good works that are necessary in our generation's spiritual crisis.

Theresa - I personally do not doubt that conversions and other wonderful spiritual revelations occur in Medjugorje- I know people who have been there. I have worked in vineyards. You can harvest a vine five years after planting. You don't need to wait 40years. I have planted, pruned then picked vines four years after planting and then made wine with them. I'm not sure where you get 40years from. Olive trees yes. Grape vines no. But I get your point.
