Many ways to defend. Players like Kawhi and Scottie Pippen employ a really upright stance and back up to contain players while others like Patrick Beverly lean forward when defending to increase their reach. Pick a style that accentuates your physical gifts.

Kawhi, from what I've seen over the years, doesn't get low unless to swipe at the ball and on drives, he backs up with an upright stance and uses his arms to contest or force a pass.

i think an overlooked key to elite players is reputation. of course skill plays a huge role but reputation does as well. a defender may not play as good against kyrie due to being scared of getting their ankles broken. a player bringing up the ball may not be as confident seeing kawhi on the other end. i've just always wanted to bring up this point and i thought this video was a decent place to address it. one of kawhis "secrets" is his reputation. he might not even realize it but it plays a huge role
