I don't know about other people but I was raised in a household where clothes were made to last. If they outgrew you, they went to a sister, if they broke, you fixed it or changed it into something else. And I'm still like that today, even if something is a bit old and worn, it can still be loved.

Chloe, I challenge you to wear one (or more) of your "unworn" pieces every Wednesday. It doesn't have to be an entire outfit of unworn items, but incorporate at least one of those pieces and vlog the process of picking out the outfit and what you finally end up wearing. Even if you just wear it to the gas station. New series! Also, under the bed, flat storage containers for storing ANYTHING under your bed. I have a king-size platform bed and can fit 6, with them stacked 2 by 2 They're $7 at the dollar store. Then you get the xl and LG vacuum seal bags, put them in the bags, vacuum out the air, and store under the bed in the containers. You can fit boots in them too. Then just label the bins. Life-changing, believe me.

I get emotionally attached to clothes because they remind me of good memories, fun times, experiences. And yes, I know I have too many buy I just can't part with them. I have a few pieces that I keep just for sentimental reasons. I also tend to get everyone's hand-me-downs which I can't say no to, because it gives me the chance to try a new style without spending any money! I have 3 sisters and they all have vastly different styles to me, so it's always fun getting their old items and trying something that's new to me. I mostly shop second hand because of I bought new items all the time, I wouldnt be ble to afford it.

At the end of the day, remember that they are just material items. Realistically will you wear every piece? I rather have someone else enjoy items I'm not going to wear. If it's been a year, just give it up. Every time you get a new piece, get rid of another.

The goal isn't to have a revolving door of clothes in your closet. It's to mostly have your absolute all-time favourites that you might love forever --- plus a couple new pieces here and there. What helped me get a better grasp of what I REALLY wanted in there was to compare each piece to the pieces that I get excited about every time I wear them, the best of the best. Anyway, best luck getting a hold on your sweaters. 👍
