The Atto 3 Energy Manager STANDARD and HIGH setting are tested. The aim of this video is to assist in choosing the best setting for each driver.

With respect, it does indeed make a difference to your range. I took mine up into the Blue Mountains. Obviously it used more energy to get up there than it did to come down again, but the wonderful thing was that the SoC percentage went up on the trip back down! Thanks to the regenerative braking. Keep up the good work, I do enjoy your videos. 😊

Hi Leigh, I have no doubt that after coming down the mountain your SOC increased. The Atto3 has excellent regenerative recovery from its braking. I beleive that your SOC at the bottom of the mountain would have been the same whether your energy manager was set to Standard or High. Maybe I did not explain that well. Thank you for your encourgement.

The other thing about this is, if the vehicle battery is cold it limits the regen to 20kw, the same as if its fully charged. Once the battery gets some temperature, the regen can get up to 70+kw (at least I've seen that in mine).

I hope byd implement one pedal driving on their cars eventually. My nissan leaf has it and it really makes driving a lot easier. It also seems to give much more precise control over braking than using a brake pedal.

I prefer standard regenerative braking. Easy to control the speed and very comfortable to drive.

I prefer high regenerative braking to standard. But I have always preferred driving manual cars to automatics and I think that has a lot to do with it.

I would think when driving in the city with a lot of traffic the choose high, but generally for more free flow driving standard would be best as you want the car to continue good fwd motion even when easing off the accelerator

3:05 unless ur on a massive hill, then u can charge to 97%, cause u have so much GPE (gravitational potential energy)

Hello and thanks for your nice videos. I have a problem with cruse control when it is on in queuing city traffic. When it is on and the car stops and then starts again, it jerks..you can feel there is a gap when it picks up speed again..a backlash. Seems like the transmission between the engine and the drivetrain is slipping. This is most noticeable when CC is on. Have you noticed this. Can you make a video about CC in slow city Trafic. And thanks for all the professional videos.

Sorry about the spelling edits. And by the way Comfort parking is activated..its on. It dosent change this glitch.

As an experiment charge to 100% then plug the charger back in and try to charge again. It wont

You made a comment about regeneration and not needing to avoid 100% state of charge. I have no issue with your logic and the explanation, excepting for the following scenario. If you live on top of a hill or range where your daily drive starts with a long downhill drive where there is minimal energy consumption prior to the long decent. It is quite possible that the initial regeneration would be greater than the battery capacity is able to accept. This would be a rare occurrence, but quite possible. I’m sure that an owner in this situation would be well advised to charge to a level which allows for the regeneration.

Hi, in this unlikely scenario the battery management would not accept the charge.
@robertmuster13504 ай бұрын
@@BYD_Telsa Unless the owner decided to charge to say 95-98% to allow for the regeneration. Of course it would be advisable to do a 10-100% charge on a regular schedule to maintain proper capacity calibration.
