I have had my Dolphin for 6 months - same model. No problems whatsoever, and beautifully built. In practice I get around 400km around town, but that's because I enjoy the performance rather worry about efficiency. My AGL night EV tariff charges the car for around $5. Latest software version (1.3) fixes a lot of the ADACs issues. I turn off the traffic sign recognition (and it stays off), and turn off the more aggressive lane keeping etc, so in normal driving there are no bing bongs at all. Agree Sport mode is super fun, but I tend to leave it in Normal mode, with only the steering in Sport mode to give a more direct feel. Two things I don't like - the boot cover is a bit flimsy, and the dash vents can reflect of the windscreen. Otherwise an amazing little hot hatchback!

Nice Review Elly, I also own a Dolphin🐬 Premium (mine's Blue), I've had it for 3 months now & LOVING IT♥♥♥ WLTP Rating is 427Km, I find the 490Km range number (NEDC Standard) misleading & unachievable. This leads me to a little (not so little!) bug bear of mine, the available range is nowhere near accurate & cannot be relied upon. I use a spreadsheet to calculate my range based on usage, I'd get @330Km from a full charge. I live in a Aussie Regional Town surrounded by not so gentle rolling hills, so this range is basically what I expected. The width of the driver side(Right Hand Drive in Oz) "A" pillar is an issue on those sharpish right hand bends, especially if there is oncoming traffic, it can completely block the view of oncoming cars, so don't cut the corners/bends. The reflection of the dash (particularly the shadow line of that large cutout) on the windscreen is really bad, if you're not wearing polarized sunnies🕶. I always drive in "Normal Mode" using the Adaptive Cruise Control a lot and I just love the feel, responsiveness (when needed), CarPlay (Apple Maps for me) & OMG the comfort is amazing. The Dolphin🐬 is a cool little car, with a great sense of style & fun, there should be a lot more of us on the roads. 🚙😍🚙🤩🚙😄

It is against the interest of gas and other parties, despite there is enough funding but the local US authority will not install charging stations, they will delay it.

Already in the first minute there is one detail that sounds so right. You can use a traditional key OR an App OR NFC. We are all different so many alternatives is good thing!

what a delightful aussie review. interested to hear you try out something a bit bigger like the new Xpeng G6 or even comparable like the MG4. but BYD killin' it. maybe even the Seal?

I like the chinese models but they lack of tech for european roads (to slow charging, not convincible software) and unfortunately they are very expensive in Europe. They will not succeed if they try attack the premium segment (what they mainly try). Really liked the interior and the build quality. They have definitely the potential to suceed and I am happy that they are already accepted in Australia! Very cute video!

BYD produces cars at all price points. But obviously, European competitors still think BYD's car is too cheap.

I want BYD in my country! For what and whom does my government dictate me what I can buy and what I cannot, forcing me to be a slave of specific car companies?

imagining if this is from Japan or German. How much extra would they ask you to pay for those lux features!! Chinese will be dominating the ev car in next decade for sure. One more point dophin is the lowest line of byd fleet. Even that they gives so much.

I was shocked when i.close the doop. A bih Dhoop sound similar to.a German car sound and not the flimsy Japanese Kei Car sound.

@@truthful3777As a Chinese, we think Japanese cars the moving coffins and not reliable enough because they use the thin cheapest metal housing. When the European, American ,Chinese car had a car crash against Japanese cars ,the Japanese cars are always the most damaged cars. Japanese car companies are good at cheating consumers and then they will apology . What a fuxk !

That's because you're paying for the cost of living of the workers and their high wages China relative to those nations have very low cost in terms of standard of living and not very high wages and have a weak currency versus their competitors
@amandagrant433115 күн бұрын
@@enhancedutility266 As far as I know, the wages of Indian workers are much lower than those of China. Why are Indian cars still so expensive?
@enhancedutility26615 күн бұрын
@amandagrant4331 because Indian cars are not well known to the global market and they don't have the scale just yet One day they might get there I could see them becoming a powerhouse in auto manufacturing the next 15 years but as of right now there way behind compared to their competitors

BYD in Chinese was always Bǐyàdí. When they expanded out of China they picked "Build Your Dreams" and have since realized the clunky translation and have reverted back to BYD. Why didn't they just ask an Aussie if Build your dreams was cool before they went with it?
