Impressive! BYD's 1st hyper-car, to reach 391+ kph is an astounding achievement. It's not just the power-train, but the aero, the tyres, brakes, alignment, heat management, suspension setup, etc. So many aspects of engineering to get the car to break 300kph and then keep going. Cockpit cam also showed geat stability. A lot of learning from this too, and no doubt refinement and improvements will come. 👏

This is a demonstration of what the BYD YangWang can attain in specific conditions. No one buying this car will have the professional tuning and adjustments to attempt 391kph. Just like no one who bought a Chiron Supersport will attempt 400kph. BTW, the Nurburgring run was max speed limited to 275kph, that much is clear from the final long straight. There may be technical reasons on the day for it. What we know is, the YangWang is capable of 391kph, physically demonstrated.

Funniest thing is that chinese made electric motors are some of the best quality ones out there, while also being some of the cheapest. If they can just spend a little more money to make sure that everything is reliable, they will become the new "germany", which also started off with cheap knock off products but look at them now. They are the sign of overengeneering and luxury. As an engineer, I wish you all the best china, but what ever you do, stay humble.

Wow that’s just faked !!! That car is fast no question! But watch the fastest lap on Nürburgring, at the end of the first lap the car only reach 275km/h… this is a special setup just for this test and says nothing because this isn’t the version and setup you will get when you buy it ( western car companies use the road versions for the tests)! Still a good looking and very fast car! 215.000€ still a lot money…

Im a strictly internal combustion engine guy. But i dont hate this car...because of only one aspect of it. And that is , though the powertrain is different atleast it looks like a regular car. Not a characterless make belief fancy appliance.
