Bye bye Best Buy? Are the signs on the wall for Best Buy’s doom? And if so, is this a good or bad thing for tech enthusiasts?

I'm in the UK so we don't have them here, it's interesting that you go straight to best buy for tech upgrades. Personally I always look around online for the best price. Even when buying books I used two different sites.

Went into the local best buy a few months ago. They didn't have much other than TVs and kitchen appliances.

Great point on the potential boom for local IT firms! Your solo business operator or very small business probably were using Geek Squad for rudimentary IT needs well beyond the point that they needed a MSP providing their base level of service.

I've been trying to buy a nvidia gpu from bestbuy for the past 2 years. never in stock. Not a fan of BB.

Last story hit hard. I love Best Buy and this is sad. I also go to Best Buy just to walk around and check stuff out. However, I haven’t bought much there in a while for various reasons. I have also been noticing fewer and fewer staff. Sad days ahead. Also, great flashbacks to RadioShack, buying resistors and other circuit parts building radios and simple motors when I was a kid! Good ole days lol
