November 29, 2015..... This is the last Boeing C-17 Globemaster III (N275ZD) to leave Long Beach Airport that was manufactured there. There was a good size crowd consisting of what appeared to be mostly Boeing employees to see it off from the Boeing parking lot at noon.
This was a treat to for Dad and I to see this beautiful brand new airlifter backup right in front of us and then stare us down. It then taxied the almost 2 miles to the other end of the runway to takeoff right in front of us. It then did a wide u-turn and did a flyover in the opposite direction of takeoff climbing steeply before disappearing out of sight on it's way to San Antonio, Texas.
