I certainly still do a lot of digital photography, but when it’s all said and done, film photography, for me, is the most fun.

Jason. I love that you want to shoot on film again. I grew up with it as well. I feel your struggle trying to decide what to do. If I may suggest sticking with what you excel at? I’m even more all over the place trying to make ends meet. I’m a drone guy, photoshop guy, photo guy, video guy, AV guy and the list goes on. I understand that you lost a passion for the composite but I think it was the pandemic that smacked you around. You are too good to stop doing those. I respect your gift and your talent and know you and I are cut from the same cloth. But you have to do what makes you happy. ✊ Respect!

Hey Chris... Thanks so much. Definitely not done doing the composite work. Still have way too much fun doing those. Just exploring something different and more fine art-ish. I love the complexity of the composites and the simplicity of shooting film. Plus, I plan on putting out 2 videos per week, so I'll be busy in all the stuff just like you. Thanks man!

@@Photillustrator I had the arthritis - artist bug a while back. Even bought the same Hasselblad, also the Fuji 50r, Nikon FM2. I even bought a few Polaroids and a 110 lol. Time! Is a killer.

Both, have a Leica MD 262 that shoots like a film camera with no screen and a Nikon F2. The Leica digital gives unsurpassed detail and sharpness that`s a little clinical. The Nikon F2 shoots film that is organic and more pleasing to the eye...!

Do all of my work on either a Nikon F2 (wildlife and birding) using Ektachrome 100 and portraits and landscapes on my Hasselblad 500 c/m and I take a yashica mat lm with me on walks and hikes. Taught myself photography on digital but just didn’t love the results and had a bad experience with people stealing my work online. That got me out of photography for a few years, got back into when I found out film was still around about 7 years ago. Never really shot digital since. I find film to be so rewarding

That's awesome that film got you back into photography and I 100% agree with digital not looking as nice as film. There's just something about film that no filter or app can duplicate. What's your favorite camera to shoot?

@@Photillustrator depends on the situation, I love my F2 and have used it to capture some truly amazing photos, and I love the ‘bald as well. For general photography I always grab the Nikon, for things that are truly important in my life the ‘blad. My F2 has battle scars all over it and it still works like a charm, it’s the Toyota FJ40 of cameras.

Im moving away from Digital. The turn and burn is a waste of time. Added Polaroid and Film to my brand this oast year. Shot Vegas on 35mm Ektar and Hasselblad 120 Portra 800 for Boudoir this oast month. Clients love it

That's awesome to hear and I agree about the turn and burn of digital. Film requires a lot more intent with shooting and the images look way better. I bet the Portra 800 looks great with boudoir?

500% analogue, 500c plus developing and printing in the dark room. There is nothing like it. Good luck.
