Hey Nick! So happy to see you testing out the OM-D Mk II for macro-what a great little beast! I recently picked up the OM System OM-1 myself, and let me tell you, no regrets at all. M4/3 really is the perfect system for us... ahem... 'seasoned gentlemen.' Light, compact, and no back pain after a full day of shooting! Hahaha. Looking forward to seeing what you create with it-maybe I’ll join you for some geriatric macro adventures soon! 😂

Alan you really are too kind. I shoot simple subjects where getting good results is simple. doing what you do - finding subjects anywhere - is special 🙂

Believe that OMSushi camera can do fully automated in camera focus stacking? Looks like a very capable piece of kit. Any who, big lenses... I've got an XF150-600 I could let you have for a very good price...? Am moving to a more lightweight set-up, the big Fuji zoom and the X-T3 are going, replaced by the new Nikon Z50ii and a Tamron 50-400, a weight reduction of one kilo and much better autofocus. Hope you're doing ok looking forward to seeing your images from the new toy.

I’ve been thinking about getting an Olympus for some time now, but I’m undecided between this version and the mark-III, yes, I want a new toy.

I've been looking at getting a Pen F. not available new but I'll find the right one eventually!

@@duringthemeanwhilst The Pen F would definitely be a nice toy to have, but probably as difficult to get just like Fuji’s X100V or VI.

Advent Ep No 1... what a star Alan is... I reckon you will enjoy it - mind, when I had a quick look at it out with a mate one day I found the menus not as easy as the panasonic mft I was using at the time. Olys are great cameras whatever. Hope you are feeling better budy. regards the other Alan

thanks Al - doing OK at the moment🙂 I didn't really dive into the menus at all but they can't be any more complex than Fujifilm's!!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned that, but those guitar sounds in the intro are really blastingly loud compared to the rest of the video. This is one unique intro that i always try to skip as quickly as possible when loading in.

Coming from a different direction, I haven't fully embraced Fuji, and Canon is still my go-to, except for the little Fuji X-T20 that is often nearby. However, I will watch with interest as you experiment.

The X-T20 was my first "proper" Fujifilm camera, and one I really regret selling. I've never shot Canon (other than a film SLR), but I'm sure they're brilliant 🙂 Is there such a thing as a bad camera these days?
