Wow, feeding the same small group of people for *every single meal* for three weeks, at such a high level, has to be among the hardest jobs for a chef. No room to hide or slide, always got to give them something new and interesting. Serious props to both of you, enjoy your rotation!

@@ace1usmc Just saying they don’t work as much as in a Ramsay restaurant so it’s not that hard to keep clean ! And I’m not saying they have a easy job either . I know because I worked as a chef and if you can’t keep a place like that clean you’re not supposed to be a chef ! And I won’t read any other things after this !

@@richardhltrp1791 You little liberal baby. There's just two of them cooking dozens of full meals, three meals a day, seven days a week. I know you gotta be a liar about being a chef. So now you can take your little ball and go play somewhere else. The rest of us here in reality can see that Nina and Judy are doing way more than most restaurants are in a much smaller, confined, and moving/pitching/rolling space. Not to mention not getting fresh provisions delivered to them daily.

@@richardhltrp1791 Bet you do. Also, it's two people flat out all day, every day, cooking for crew and charter to high level restaurant standard - on a boat. You may have been a microwave technician in the past, but i guarantee these guys are grafting long hours and have a fantastic level of attention to detail, so maybe stop with the condescension?

Interesting the guests had all meals on board! Watching the 3-part Loon series, I thought the only reason they were packing up everything up to dock in ports every night was because the adults must want to dine/party on land. Anyway, I loooove watching the galley get a deep cleaning…so satisfying. Hope you had a great break at home!

i used to work on rotation, and going-home day was always great but the work had to be done, even on the last day, and the hand-overs were generally short, because we'd only have the time it took for a chopper or fixed-wing aircraft to unload, and load cargo, etc. Knowing you're going home for a month or more makes the prospect of cleaning the inside and outside of a filthy 4WD quite tolerable!! It's also nice to be handed the keys to a nice clean vehicle too.

I've only chartered big sail yachts during races or events. I give very nice tips the way my GF demands. After reading and basing my tips on the book "Goomba's guide to life" which I read as a teenager, my tip (if we win) is enough to buy a car. Usually more than the charter itself. The deserving crew is very happy.

You were in my home town Antibes. I immediately recognized the harbor and the white sculpture. There is a small English speaking community of people working on yachts here and I always wondered how 's their daily life on these giant of the seas. Here it is not like it used to be 15 years ago, when yacht staff usually hung out in some OZ or brits bar, and the billionaire's part of the harbor was full of yachts. Also that section of the harbor was opened to the public so you could dream of some day be invited/rent or own one of these yachts. But since the war in Ukraine (Russians left), covid and also French taxes increase it is much quieter.
