US government initially imposed tariffs on all the imports of Steel and Aluminium and then targeted the imports coming from China and imposed 25% tariffs on goods worth $34 bn. in retaliation the Chinese government also imposed tariffs on US Exports entering into china. There is a fear that this would not only lead to a full blown trade war between only China and US, it will be leading to a full blown global trade war. the video discusses the issues related to trade wars and the likely impact of that on parties included as well as on India

The exports from India to USA under GSP was $4.58 bn in 2015, $5.58 bn in 2016 and $5.6 bn in 2017
