Very helpful video, thank you! I've been trying to learn how to knit a top-down raglan sweater and it's confusing to me. Tunisian crochet is automatically easier for constructing a top-down raglan because you don't have to turn the work around to do the return "row". Another advantage of learning all the fiber crafts. I have had this pattern in my favorites on Ravelry for quite a while; now that I've watched this tutorial I need to make it soon. I might try working it in gobelin / full stitch, which is my favorite. I'm sure it will require a lot of fiddling around to get everything to work out nicely and look good, but that's my favorite part of handmaking any garment.

Just wanted to say this is a very pretty sweater! I made a tunision crochet using the knit stitch, looks knitted and is very warm and heavy. If i make another, I would love this one. Even the colors you chose, as always, are perfect!

Hey I just wanted to ask, with the knit stitch it curls a lot of you joined the 2 pieces would it still curl?
@Bethabara93 жыл бұрын
@@ifeoluwasanni737 it will help them to lie flat. My sweater did. The weight of it helps to. Someone said to change the stitch for a few rows in the beginning and that will help to.

With tunisian crochet I noticed that if you use a bigger hook size then the recommende on the yarn label it will have a nicer drape and no curling. The yarn I used is fingering weight and the hook size is 5 mm

I love this pattern. Just wondering if you could show how to add extra for the arm pits. using the actual garment, not just a simple swatch of fabric. for example the size 2XL sweater.

I’ve purchase 2 of your patterns already after watching your videos and I can’t wait to get started. However, your instructions are confusing and I’m not a novice pattern reader. I decided to watch your video and follow along with the pattern and it’s not going along with the pattern instructions? It’s a little frustrating, but I do love what you made. I’m hoping to figure out what I have, along with your video.

Thank you so much and I am feeling bad that you find it confusing. If you need my help please send me an e-mail at contact@by-katerina.com.

@@ByKaterinaDesigns thank you so much for the reply. I’m good right now and it’s going good. Indefinitely will take you up on your offer if I have a question. I love your designs and I know they may not be easy to put together on paper and then create a video. I’m following along and picking up along the way. 🙂

This is really cute! I used to do basic Tunisian, but it’s been at least 15 years since I’ve tried!! Maybe I’ll give it a go!! Thanks for another great pattern. Can you make a sweater with an argyle design? I’ve always wanted to make one!!

Awesome video, beautiful blouse and great pattern! Quick question please: when we finish the V neck and we have to continue with the yoke increasing only on the raglan lines (not end and beginning of line), should we increase in every row, or is the pattern like before? i.e alternating one round of tss with a round of increases? It was not very clear from the video nor the written pattern. A huge thanks Katerina!
@ByKaterinaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! the pattern is as before. You don't have to increase on every row.

Do you think I can make this using comfy cotton for your pattern? If so would you suggest any adjustments as a result of the size 3 yarn.

I love this design but am confused about sizing. U.S. we work in inches and when I convert the cm to inches it just doesn't seem right. I need a size 40 inch bust but the chart doesn't seem to go this high. normally I wear size 14 and work Med or Large on crochet patterns. can you point me to the right size on your chart. thanks for any help
@ByKaterinaDesigns3 жыл бұрын
The measurements are for bust width. Sorry for this confusion. So all measures in the chart have to be doubled to get to the bust circumference

i dont really get what we are supposed to do with the sleeves..
@ByKaterinaDesigns4 жыл бұрын
The sleeves are worked circular. Start at the armpit, work half of the sts, then pull the cable andbwork the rest of the sts to the end of the round. When start the forward round, before yarn over and pull the yarn through the first loop, wrap the yarn over the cable ones, then work the first st. Wrap over cable again, yarn over and pull it through the next 2 sts. Then continue working the sts normally. When you have 4 loops left on the hook, yarn over and pull the yarn through all 4
@heatherlambert92013 жыл бұрын
I am confused by this as well. It seems this is a decrease of 1 stitch each round (-3 at the beginning and +2 at the end) but why the additions of stitches at the end? Why not just a standard decrease? Is this a way from getting the join line not to skew.
