I always wanted one of these. It’s great if you want to run longer oil changes. I get my truck serviced by my mechanic and they tell me what else is wrong while they’re looking around. So far I haven’t had a major breakdown on the road.

Great video. 1 suggestion. Move your sample port to the inlet side. You want to see what's in there. The filter removes so much that you can't see what's going on internally. I lost a cam that way.

I found fuel on mud flap this morning for $0.23 a gallon cheaper than I could get it even with a discount at a major chain. $1.40 minus ifta. Save me $41 on one fill up. Thanks 👍

came across your video the other day on amsoil bypass filters, been looking at different brands and I like amsoils the most because of your recommendations of easy of use and not messy. I'm getting an out of frame rebuild on a 12.7 non emission, I want to install the bypass now with shut off valves like you did, but not sure if I should use the bypass right away on a fresh rebuild, gonna change oil at about 10k then eventually switch to synthetic after the next oil change, opinions on this? By the way like your channel, keep up the vids

Absolutely put it on right away. Would be a great benefit. No oil additives til it's broke in tho

Thanks to your first video about bypass oil filter I got too from amsoil on my Detroit series 60 12.7. Could a bypass oil filter damage by any chance?
@DIYSEMI4 жыл бұрын
I dont see how it could cause damage unless it is installed wrong

Not as long as you don't drill the flanges. And have bolts in the holes

@@DIYSEMI one thing I’d suggest is braided stainless steel line and fittings. Oil degradation will occur when it goes through brass and copper fittings. considering it’s moving through it at a couple gallons an hour id opt for different metal fittings

There seems to be 100's of these bypass installs on youtube. But very few results videos. The one or two results videos I've seen didn't seem to be very good. The oil stayed jet black. So until I see more positive results I'm voting no on this one.
@TolaTrucking Жыл бұрын
Of course the oil would be still black...it's not it's purpose
