Still works May 2024. Two notes for those who come after me: 1 - When opening large maps, the loading wheel in Trackmania may freeze for extended periods of time (in my case 2 minutes) when opening very large maps. 2 - xdbg was hitting many breakpoints and being a pain as I had to hit run dozens of times per Trackmania click. I disabled the multitude of extraneous breakpoints by... xdbg->Options->Preferences: Events tab - Uncheck User TLS Callbacks and System TLS Callbacks. Exceptions tab - Select Unknown exceptions, select Do not break save GLHF

Oh my god, thank you SO MUCH. Never putting a password on my tracks ever again 😅 PS : even if my game is in french, I had to search for "wrong password" too, and not "mauvais mot de passe". Also I had to press on the run arrow quite some times because I had a weird "First chance exception" error that paused the game. But it worked nonetheless ! Thanks again !

WORKS FOR NATIONS FOREVER! Btw if you get multiple "wrong password" entries when searching, the correct one is the one with the exclamation mark, i.e "wrong password!". And it doesnt matter if your x32dbg shows EAX instead of RAX.

Nice tutorial. You can detach the debugger from the file menu in order to close it and leave TM running. though.

Great tutorial, works fine, but do you know if it's possible to use plugins like the deep dip plugin while in the map editor? I downloaded a plugin but it doesn't show up when I try 'validating' shallow dip.

Idk how the Deep Dip plugin is made but I'm guessing it only works in non validation mode and with a specific set of map UIDs

Do u need to do the process everytime or open the "unlock" program all the time, if u wanna play the map u unlocked?

Thanks, seems to have worked with only one minor issue. My mouse became unusable when I hit run after the breakpoint was added. A quick search showed that F9 is the keyboard shortcut for run, so that got me my mouse back and let me finish.

My Trackmania seemingly freezes every time I begin the step at 2:18 in selecting "String References". I can't click with mouse or control anything with my controller after the process runs.

yes you absolutely can, probably in more than one way-I’d naively do it with AutoHotkey if you asked me now, do you REALLY need to automate that? like, do you have a need to unlock passwords on multiple (very many) *_different_* maps? cuz if you otherwise just need to play/edit a handful or even just the same one over and over, then it would probably be sufficient (and simpler) to just do it manually once and then save it in an unlocked state afterwards (the video also shows that)

@@nouche well, if you are on free version of trackmania, you can download a map and edit it to play it without having to buy the full version, but most maps have passwords. that's why i made a program to kinda automate doing that (what im wasting my time on, i don't even play tm that much)

@@captheobbyist6434 : I know all of this. I am also on the free version. And I was telling you that, yes, it can absolutely be automated, but you only ever need to do it if you’re playing various different maps, that each require removal of their respective passwords.

Oh ok i managed to do it. Before opening the program i need to get "Wrong password!" message at least once, once i get it still shows many "wrong password" messages but one is with the "!" is the correct one.
