Thank you for great advice in the real world of point blank self defence.

No problem I tell it like it is on my channel , don’t. Like some of these guys saying point blank will not work on someone on drugs , that’s 💩. I just keep everything I say backed by facts as much as possible, that’s what makes my channel different.

Your absolutely right makes much sense, 50 to 60 feet away is not really a threat unless there coming at you armed with something

I agree with you for 100% Also, more power means you can bridge more distance . . . so how you gonna explain self defence in court when you hit someone at 60 yards? In my book, self defence is "room distance". What I would like to see are rounds with a red dye that hold up to the pressue inside the launcher, because I think (in these stressful situations) an intruder cannot yet estimate whether he has been hit by a bullet or a kinetic projectile. The sight of (fake) blood will make him eager to leave, thinking he's seriousy wounded.

Thank you for your voice of reason. The average confrontation takes place between point blank range out too 21 feet. If you engage at 60 feet they better have a weapon and coming your way or you will get hammered in court by the DA.

Brother thanks for all of the information that you provided for us. You give the most real testimonies about these launchers I have seen hundreds if not a thousand videos on the BYRNA and you do it right. And you are absolutely correct stronger doesn't necessarily mean better. I have seen people use the eight gram 9 gram projectile but all of that weight you sacrifice speed and accuracy. Keep doing your thing. I'm a big fan of yours.

I love my Byrna SD's and max balls will ruin someone's day, also trigger pull is too hard for my kids (I tested to see if they could learn) she couldn't pull the trigger wasn't strong enough, not saying leave it out but the trigger pull keeps it kid friendly, test it out, always keep it holstered and kept up of course, don't laser yourself, don't point it anyone etc.

Watched a review from AirGunner Reviews where he showed how to easily tune up the power of your TCR with a 3/16 Allen key increasing the power to 20 Joules average. The downside was that you only get 13 shots now from one 12 gram CO2 instead of 19 shots, but that a pretty good increase in power from 12 Joules average at stock power.
@RapidAssualtTactics
@RapidAssualtTactics Жыл бұрын
Yes you can , that’s the one thing I love about it , mines set to around 330-335fps hits pretty hard and the trigger pull is really smooth

Most threats take place at point blank range not 50 or 60 feet. You don't need 20 joules to be affective at a few feet and may cross the line from non-lethal to lethal with the District Attorneys office.
@Joreel
@Joreel 9 ай бұрын
@@chaplainsoffice6907 20 Joules is well below what law enforcement uses so it's not going to be crossing the line in this case unless you're living in California or New York where the liberal DAs run things.

@@Joreel The pepper ball launcher is labeled as less than lethal not non-lethal. As a clinical health care chaplain for 34 years I've seen a child die from from a low powered Red Ryder. If you miss the bad guy and strike a citizen with an upgraded pepper ball gun, good luck in court.

Great information bro. I consider the most effective range for my Byrna HD would be point blank to seven yards. As for my Byrna Mission 4, I'd feel very confident using it at room distance out to about 20 yards. I know that the Byrna HD and the Byrna Mission 4 will shoot further, but these are the distances that I would feel confident using these in the self defense situation. Just my opinion. Even when I practice at the range with firearms for self defense, i'm setting my targets from 10 feet out to about 70 feet. I'm in the city. I'm not trying to cover large area for self defense. This works for my intended purposes. Again, great information. Stay safe and healthy. Peace

@redzone1019 thanks bro glad you agree I’ve been learning a lot of tactics from family that are retired law enforcement and also friends of there’s that are ex military so going to be putting some vids up once I can figure out some simple ones that everyone can use and practice with both lethal and less lethal weapons, there actually a lotta fun to while maiming eyes on target so watch out for that one it’s actually one you can even do in your backyard with either byrna you have

Happy Memorial Day! Be honest i only started shooting pans lately and its because soft target attract ants like crazy at my place and i dont want those buggers in the garage. Its tough to convince anyone that Byrnas are adequate. Its a firearms mentality. It is less lethal by definition. If someone says it is going to get you killed it means you made a poor choice in pulling it. Know your situation and where it’s an appropriate use….guy has a gun? Probably shouldnt brandish anything but lethal if you are well trained.

five to seven feet is what is considered true self defense with most firearms. all i want to say is this ; if you fire a riot ball from the cab it can bounce back at you. if you land a hit with a chem round and they are in your AO, your also going to catch that spicy air. just something to keep in mind. defend yourself for sure just think about the ammo your using and where.

Do you think the BYRNA TCR is worth the 800. Over the TIPPMAN TCR fir 300 (if you can find it ) Is the byrna ANY BETTER ?
@RapidAssualtTactics
@RapidAssualtTactics Жыл бұрын
Honestly I think of it like this no I don’t think the TCR for $800 is worth it….However I do think the TCR is , by that I mean the TCR is excellent all around but the price I 100% disagree with . But on the other hand can you find a tippman TCR today ? Most likely not …so honestly my advice to you and anyone else would be this . The TCR is well worth the investment for home security defense honestly the TCR is so compact it’s my first choice for the Byrna’s . And if you get one search websites I’ve seen them sold new on sites for on sale for around $599 and extra 10% off on the order around the holidays , also some sites online will work with you and give you 15% off order if you explain to them you need one but can’t afford it and anyway to get a one time discount on there site , a lot of people don’t relize this but, company’s sometimes are happy to do this because they know you as a first time buyer not only will come back to buy more but also will get there names out there through people you know . Which, in return brings that business more revenue. Hope that helps

I hate posting because I would rather not come off as a know it all but in the interest of public safety I will share my input. In winter when you're coming in from being outside you experience an effect known as "snowblindness" now if you shine a 400lumen flashlight in someone's eye after coming in from being outside they could actually go blind. Kinetic rounds to the neck, under the chin, lower rib, fingers, temple can maime or kill someone. I've been hit in the fingers with paintballs and have had weeklong sprains. Byrna kinetics will definately help you get into your car and take off if ambushed in a parking garage. It may not be enough if the attacker is on meth but I'm thinking a kinetic light combo will drop him due to his eyes already being dilated. The light is key. That being said if someone is approaching you assume they have a deadly weapon and proceed with extreme caution most people are cowards. With a little luck maybe they will have a seizure if set on strobe then it changes from life and death to a medical emergency. As always stay safe and know your surroundings and location. Supposing even if the guy wasn't on drugs but had real bad allergy's in the summer the light will have him in tears.

You make excellent points!
@passone
@passone Жыл бұрын
If you’re outside, your eyes will dilate to a higher F-stop(photography term) so a 400lumen light won’t blind you. Now, if your were in pitch darkness, your eyes will dilate to a lower F-stop, to which a 400lumen light will impair your vision.

Honestly I do think so everyone has there preferences on what’s best for them I have the tippman tmc basically same design as mission 4 for half the price ., but I prefer the tcr very easy to take part and modify if you need to also love runs on 12 gram co2 and you can have power that’s compacted and ready to go when you need it most for close quarters in home
