It's funny that you did a video like this. I had to CALL BYRNA because of the "rattling" noise. I was ready TO RETURN my brand new BYRNA SD 72hrs after receiving it. My BYRNA LE it however DOESN'T "RATTLE" as loud as my new SD. I was told this is normal for the new SD models. Definitely thought I had a LEMON. I've had my SD for for a little over 2wks and I have run thru my first TEN 8gr. C02 canisters. I Love the wait shoots and feels when shooting it ...., 😎

Wonder if they will let me trade in my old SD for the newer model. Hope they can fix the rattle. Could you try the Homewrecker Busting Balls in your newSD for impact and joules? Thanks

Don’t think there doing that . All I do know is they said it’s normal due to the internals . So I’m assuming that they at some point changed the internals . Would explain the safety and the rattle almost exact from the LE

Unfortunately Byrna doesn't have a trade-in program. I asked them this back at the end of 2023 and they said they didn't and had no plans to do one. It's kinda sad though as it would probably be a good thing and set them apart from the other manufacturers if they did. It would also help keep customer retention longer.

Yea I have another guy says his does same thing, thought he had a lemon till he seen my video. If they improved these things they did a really nice job seeing how your not going to be switching mags out like your in combat anyway lol

@stanleychamallas2331 I have to Byrna but they don’t want it so it’s to high so pepper rounds break in it while firing . Plus they said too that they don’t want it high fps because then can go from less/non lethal to potentially lethal . Be nice if they made one with at least 30 joules

No the internals like the LE according to Byrna that’s normal due to the internals.
