YES! I just got rid of all bed skirts in my house. Also, I hate duvets and their covers. They’re too much of a pain. I much prefer machine washable quilts and coverlets.

It's called a top sheet or flat sheet, hotels tend to bring it down a little so you don't have to shove your hand up the pillow to get it and pull it down. The folding of the corners of the sheet is called a "hospital corner" another way to look after your mattress is to have a cover on it before you add your fitted sheet. I also get a hand held steamer and lightly go over my sheets to make sure there are no creases.

You are correct ma’am I’ve worked in housekeeping and the medical field. I’ve worked for lawyers, doctors ect.. but, the people that felt like I do when it comes to folding clothes and making the bed a certain way we’re veterans and housewife’s those two groups I’ve dealt more with in home health. One client I had, had dementia and she was a housewife and her husband was a marine even though she was forgetful she never forgot how to make her bed a certain way. Her husband was worst if sheets were to far up or pillow cases weren’t on certain pillows he would flip. He was use to her way of going things 40 years of marriage.

One of my jobs in High School was as a house keeper at a resort. We never had fitted sheets. The bottom sheet was always tucked under hospital corners. And then when it was time to “change the sheets,” the top sheet went on the bottom and a new, clean sheet went on top.

Update! Very comfy. It does keep you extra warm almost hot which could be problem for some people, but we always have AC on so it's just right! Does feel just like a hotel bed!! Extremely happy with these purchases.

Looks lovely, apart from chopped cushions, however I believe that you should always pay more for bedding that touches your skin, so satin covers would never do for me as they are yucky polyester. Always buy high thread count Egyptian cotton or bamboo pillow cases x

Chopped pillows are ugh and will soon look very dated in any visuals. They were popular in the early to mid 80s, along with the corner turned back on duvets, and became synonymous with the styling of show homes for cheaply built identikit housing developments that sprang up everywhere at that time.

I’ve never seen anyone tuck a top sheet in the side first. Most of us tuck the sheet into the end of bed and make a miter corners on the sides. Very different strategy.
