Kids are the absolute best. My daughters get so excited helping people and animals. Three weeks ago, my older daughter rescued a broken coat (rabbit term for spotted) mini rex rabbit (breed) that someone had let loose when they no longer wanted him. Now he has a HUMONGOUS hutch to live in, a great diverse diet, plenty of floor time and even a nice pet stroller that we take our buddy Oreo for walks in. He absolutely loves it, everyone wants to meet him and show him love and affection. It amazes me the amount of joy these girls and little bunny spread in all directions every day! Every time it storms I breathe a huge sigh of relief and smile knowing he's safe inside his safe, dry and warm inside his giant rabbit mansion! 🐇 🐰😁🖖👍 Have a great day everyone!

My son, from the time he was four, would stand whenever a woman, even his sister walked into a room and would offer a seat. If our daughter got up to go to the bathroom during dinner and came back to the table, he’d get up and pull her chair back out. It’s the way he was raised. When he was 13, he won a military contest for the second time for writing an essay and winners (a boy and girl from every state) got to spend a week at a camp in Estes, CO or Washington, D.C. He got to tour the Pentagon and sit in on some meetings. At a sandwich shop, a woman walked in and there were no seats, he stood and gave her his seat. The next day, at the Pentagon, she walked in during a briefing. She was a one-star general there to talk to the group. She recognized him and commented his parents should be proud. Years later, he applied for a military scholarship at our University and she actually wrote a letter because she remembered him. Kindness pays. His response is that it takes little to be a gentleman. He’s now 6-odd foot of Army Ranger, 3rd Battalion Ft. Benning and still putting others before self.

We need to understand that being at the top of the pyramid of creation means that everything we do trickles down the structure, from top to bottom. When it reaches the bottom, the inanimate level of reality, from which everything grows, it changes it. If we ooze ill-will, it creates negative changes throughout the system, which manifest in increasingly extreme climatic and geological events. In other words, when human relationships go out of balance, everything goes out of balance. When our relations become extreme, everything becomes extreme; when we become violent, everything becomes violent. Each summer, the ramifications of the linkage between our relations and our world become more extreme, until we acknowledge that everything that exists, exists in a connected, hierarchical system and that whoever is at the top determines the state of the rest of the system. It is not as if previously, we were better people than we are today. It is simply that there were fewer people, and therefore fewer elements that exude ill will. Also, relationships between people in the past were less toxic than they are today. While there are fewer wars today than ever, the levels of suspicion and alienation between people are skyrocketing, to the point where people can no longer trust their own family members. As a result, wars between countries are rarer than ever, but divorce rates, domestic violence, and violence in the community, are at an all-time high. Even the internet, which we invented purportedly in order to connect people, is being used to abuse, deceive, and exploit people. The world-wide-web proves that everything we create, we use against others. When there is such a negative element in a system, and that element is at the top of the system, how can the entire system not go awry? Therefore, if we want the weather to cool, the sea-level to drop, and the storms to subside, we must cool the fire and calm the storms between us. Mutual concern, mutual responsibility, or at least the knowledge that we are dependent on each other, are necessary in order to restore balance in our world at all levels, from the ground we walk on to the hatred in our hearts.

2:30 I still remember the hottest day on record in London on 25 July 2019. Temperatures rose to over 40°C. Just outside my flat men were doing roadworks and you could see they were struggling with the heat. Since these temperatures were already predicted I had put some bottles of water in the freezer to hand out to the men at work. Being Dutch that's not a strange thing to do. After all, Dutch people are known for their friendliness and hospitality. So on that hot Thursday I went out with several bottles of ice water. Only, I didn't get the reaction I expected. Instead of accepting the bottles they looked at the bottles as if they were filled with poison instead of ice water! They refused to take them from me! You'd think they would be happy to get some ice cold water on a hot day like that! In the Netherlands a gift like that would be very much appreciated. I guess they people in London are not used to other people being kind...

Dutch people known for their friendliness and hospitality? 🤔

It’s not London you gave the water to, it was those guys. It’s a nice thing to do for people, preparing ice water for a work crew on a hot day. Other people will react differently, especially if your words are kind as well.

@@terredee I've lived in London for 12 years and I know for a fact it wasn't just those guys who were like that. I used to take the same bus at the same time to work, 6 days a week. Always the same driver. When I got on the bus I would always say good morning and bye when leaving. The driver would look at me as if I was some kind of alien or a crazy person. He never said a word back. I lived at the same address for 7 years and always said hello to my neighbours, they never said hello back. And I'm not the only one who noticed that, I heard a lot of people about it. Maybe they're only like that towards non-British people, I don't know.

Around 9 mins, could anybody imagine this sweet retired teacher along with sooo any more around the country, heck around the world, branding a gun, while teaching children, stopping a lunatic mass shooter? Teachers should absolutely NOT have to bare that responsibility.
@meme94922 жыл бұрын
Someone had to do it. Had to go there and spoil a perfectly good moment. Well...let's just say that I would do it so she didn't have to. I am a teacher and without doubt maybe not the same caliber as this great woman is, but I have no issues becoming the hand of whatever Deity you believe in to stop someone from killing kids. Little kids are the future and their only goal should be to enjoy recess, chocolate chip cookies, and learning to play ball with their friends. They should NOT have to do "active shooter" drills and worry if there are bad people in the world.
@19THESIS692 жыл бұрын
@@meme9492 DUUHH. Ofcourse, some teachers probably would & some wouldn't. My grandmother taught elementary science, for some 30 years, until she retired & loved it. She would wouldn't. Not a single 1 of her children or grandchildren, or great grandchildren would want see her put in that position "packin" to teach. Speaking of spoiling a good moment, look in the mirror. I don't believe your BS letter helped any. Teachers, should not have to take on the responsibility possibly killing a shooter or being killed. themselves.
@meme94922 жыл бұрын
@@19THESIS69 I have no issues with who I see in the mirror. And comprehension is key: At no point did I say that someone who didn't want to, or didn't think they had to, should EVER be forced to, so what your grandmother, the kids and grandkids think is not relevant to what I said. And again...more comprehension is key. YOU are the one who went in the direction you did, so I'm responding to YOUR BS letter that did not need to be here to spoil the moment. It's actually YOURS that didn't really help any. I was just responding to you.
