Not sure about that. I have 3 cats and when I go away for a few days, the minute I take out my suitcase, they become stressed and while I am away, my son tells me they are not the same as usual, meowing and looking for me. Cats are not as demonstrative as dogs, but the cuddles and kisses are there. Love comes in many ways !!!!

Dogs are so full of love . It doesn't matter if you are gone 5 min or 5 months they are always so happy to see you and want to show you their love. I swear our dogs knew when it was about time for my husband to come home from work and could hear his truck coming down the street. Sadly, we lost our last dog a couple days before Thanksgiving 2022. Just shy of his 17th birthday and to the end he just wanted to be where ever we were,

Thank you fo sharing, dogs always make me smile!!! Whenever I left the house my BabyGirl wouldn't do anything but watch the front door until I got home. As soon as I walked in she would start barkyodeling at me until I picked her up and my Bernie Bear, like the dog at 9:07 would jump right up into my arms. My last friend died almost 4 years ago. I’m not allowed a companion where I live alone. As I watch this show, I just discovered myself rubbing, and gently scratching the soft arm of my chair! I watched a very active reunion and my arms were rubbing and patting to go to town. How I miss having a companion. I’m disabled and a proud Elder @ 70, how I would love to have a cuddly friend….. I would wake happily every day!

What a video joy...I am aged 83, widowed now for nearly 5 years with my beloved golden retriever aged 13 now almost totally deaf but what a joy she brings me. We go for a pre breakfast walk each morning and chat to various neighbours setting off for work and then another walk each afternoon to the dog run where my Holly can meet all her friends off the lead and I can chat to all the other dog owners. He's getting better now, but when we first got our 12 year old rescue he'd act like I was gone all day when I returned from taking out the trash. Hubby says he sits near the door whenever I'm not in the house. It's very sweet. I'm glad I'm now retired, so I can dedicate my time to them both. 😹😻

Dogs have good memories. I remember staying, for two weeks, with a family who had a dog. He was gorgeous. However, I had to go home eventually and did not see him again for two years. I was walking down the avenue towards his house, where he was playing out the front with the little boy of the house. He suddenly looked up and seemed to recognise me from a very long way off, and charged up the avenue to me. He was jumping around and was just the same daft, playful dog he was a couple of years before. I could hardly believe his memory was that good.

I remember my parents taking me to some relatives house when I was very young and they had a dog. I played with the dog the entire time I was there and when we went back to visit them again 6-12 months later the dog remembered me.

We went on a cruise for 2 weeks so we put our dog in kennels. Our dog , Lilly stopped eating. When we picked her up, she started to cry. I burst into tears too. Once home, she ate a full meal every 3 hours. She had lost 20 lb in 2 weeks. After that we got our daughter to care for her.

Dogs are the best beings on our planet 💝🐾💝🐾💝🐾💝🐾💝 When we'd traveled my daughter took our giant baby girl crazy Daisy. The reunion must be always outside cause it needed 20 - 30 minutes before she was ready saying hello 💕. Sadly she passed away in August 2019 cause of cancer 💔💔💔💔💔. I'm surprized that none of those dogs sprained their tail wagging it with so much happiness, and none of them peed a little from the excitement. I also love to hear them "uwu" their love, and at times it even sounds like they are crying with joy to be reunited with their loved ones. Thanks for the fond memories of my canines' unconditional love (3 German Shepperd's that overlapped in a 25 years period). I do miss them dearly.

my mates dog called Milo, sometimes he has wee a little bit cos hes been that happy to see me, like i love him the world, i cant describe the love i have for him, i tell him that everytime as well, i will always remember this, so i was giving him a bit of chicken from my hand and he was just licking it, he didnt take it from me and i wondered why, and my mate told me it was cos he doesnt want to bite my finger by accident, well i nearly cried lol, like dogs give us so much love and joy and everything and all they want in return is a loving home and the fact some people abuse dogs totally baffles me, like how could you abuse an animal that will be so happy to see you when you have left the house for 5 mins haha

A while back, my daughter got Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After a few months in the hospital, her health and mental state really started to decline. I asked if I could bring her dog in for a visit, as he was a registered therapy dog, and was also missing his closest family member. The doctor agreed and we brought my male Rottweiler to visit. Somehow he instantly knew her situation wasn’t too good, and he gingerly jumped up on the bed and laid down next to my daughter. It was the first time I had seen my daughter give any sort of smile in months. The doctor agreed to let us bring our dog to visit as much as we wanted. After a few days, my daughter’s condition started to improve. Long story short, my daughter went into remission, and my Rottweiler served as a therapy dog in the pediatric oncology department until he passed. The doctor swears our dog saved my daughter’s life and the lives of other patients.
