Wow this is brilliant!! Only tweak is that "neutral" and "active" maybe aren't the most intuitive packaging. Maybe something like Strike for single strong actions (when the card has a vertical orientation, like a ⚡) and Barrage for ongoing actions (when the card has a horizontal orientation)?
