✨This video is the first of a three-part series on the action potential.
In part 1, I talk about some of the basics of potentials and ion movements with the voltage-gated sodium and potassium channels that are needed for understanding the action potential. I hope it helps! ☀️

We need more videos that explain the nervous system especially the autonomic part , i can assure to you that the way you illustrate in these videos is better and more simplified , also they’re not time draining the videos i mean , keep up doing these masterpieces ☺️

Thanks for the video! I have some questions and hope you can clear things up: Why can't anions leave the membrane? What makes the membrane permeable to some ions but not others?
@rayhanislam8005
@rayhanislam8005 2 жыл бұрын
a lot of the negative charged molecules(anions) are proteins and they can't leave because they have cell functions, also proteins are large molecules.

Because they are non permeable molecules there is no door to leave
@daniamirza2826

anions attached to k+ are either proteins or phosphatases which are larger molecules and need transporters for them to leave. permeability of a substance or ion through plasma memb. depends upon the no of channels/transporters it has for them
