What a beautiful place it is. Your channel means a lot to me, as I am 50, and housebound due to a spinal condition that went misdiagnosed years ago. I miss going out, and going on holidays. Watching your videos means that I feel like I'm taking a trip too.

My Grandad was born in Knaresborough, around 1890.. He was truanting from school and swam across the river Nid ( on his back) with his clothes on his stomach. The headmaster was at the other side,, waving his cane! Lol Great vlog!! Xx

Love Knaresborough. It has everything. My grandparents moved into new houses opposite Knaresborough house in 1970, and we used to go often until the mid nineties. I still visit the town often from where I live in Bradford. You've done a excellent tour video.

Great video of Knaresborough- my home town. Sometimes we forget how beautiful it is and how lucky we are to live here. But you missed the best view of the river, which is from the Working Men’s Club, just down the hill from Six Poor Folk. Go to the terrace on a good day / evening! Can’t wait to show off Knaresborough to our visitors from the south tomorrow, when it’s going to be 24C !

My favourite Yorkshire town! Had a great overnighter there last year and went to every place you covered, pretty much in same order, incl a bit of boating, a few in six poor folk before finishing up in the exact same Indian restaurant. We can recommend Kirkgate house for a stopover! Great upload

Hi James & Helen what a lovely vlog you have created about Knaresborough. With York & Harrogate as it's neighbours it does has strong competition but you have really shown what a great day out you can have here. I was a bit shocked at the price you paid for Mother ( Hubbards) 😂 Shipton's Cave. I remember it as just a rough path going up to it back in the late 70's. Then we saw the childrens attractions so yes it has changed...a lot in 50 years!! 🙄😂😂😂. The pubs looked great BTW very friendly & welcoming 🍻💜💜💜💜Xxxx

Aye up! We enjoy your channel and the videos. The visit to the "Six Poor Folks" pub was excellent. You should seriously consider doing some pub deep dives more often. England is full of quirky and interesting hostelries. It would make a fascinating series and I have little doubt that many people would be interested in them. I would. Keep up the good work.

6 poor folk pub is one of the oldest buildings in knaresboroughs dating back 1480 when it served as a hospital 🏥 as they say for 6 poor folks. It’s truly a beautiful pub. The landlord is so nice. 🍺🍔🥓🍟

My Grandfather’s family were all from Knaresborough and lived in the dispensary inside the castle yard opposite the now police station. My Grandfather and his brothers worked on the boats when they were kids, circa 1920. My Great uncle Harry had a beautiful singing voice and sang at the Knaresborough Parish church. It is certainly beautiful alongside the river, but the main street could be better.

Very enjoyable vid, One of the best yet. Loving the banter as usual, jumping from wishing well to the pub reminded me of Rentaghost a series from the 1970s. the scenery in places was beautiful. The joke at the curry house was a good one and great set up by Helen for you to throw in the because its a little otter punchline. Ali g not so lol. least you tried. Very enjoyable watch, this was you and Helen at your best, doing what you love to do and taking us with you to share your experiences. Such a lovely place and it looked like you had just the perfect weather ... oh, those views !! You know what I am going to say now ... Knaresborough Town has been on my football grounds to do list for at least two years ! lol Saw the town on Geoff Marshall & Vicky Pipe's "All The Stations" trip in 2017 and it made an impression on me, then Jane McDonald visted on her "My Yorkshire" TV series and I saw a bit more - you two did all the things I plan to do when I finally get there and lots more besides, so thanks for saving me £100+ in petrol 😄 If only you could have wandered by the footy ground like you did in Pickering ... ;-)

James and Helen, we visited Knaresborough around 45 years ago with my Nan and our son who would have been 5 then, we obviously went to the cave etc., along the river bank, in those days it was just a rough path with no tarmac in sight, and we are pretty sure it was nowhere near £26 to get in, and we loved Knareborough, thanks for all your videos, my wife and I now live in South East Spain, about an hour south of Benidorm and pretty close to Elche and Alicante, this is a great place to live with so much to see and do, thanks again for all your videos,
