Our favourite video ever!!! Thank you for showing our beautiful town in all its glory, we are so lucky to live here. Really glad you went in the right pubs as well. If you come back do the ghost tour and hear all the stories and walk down all the alleyways. Also opposite the library there’s a bridge across the railway to the old prison where you can have tours as well, it’s very haunted. Helen trying on ancient hats in the museum had us in hysterics! Janes if you get to Shrewsbury again theres a place called taste and the food is amazing,,, ask to sit upstairs its really old but from the outside it looks like a normal bread and caje shoo,,, foid made from scratch and so reasonable,,🙋🏻 hope you and Helen feeling better ❤ love Julie and John from the potteries ❤

Shrewsbury is just a bus ride from mine in North Staffordshire and I should go there more often. Last time I went there we did a ghost tour of the gaol and it was brilliant although I did get Covid and was proper poorly! This channel is a great stress reliever for me especially after a busy nursing shift ..love you

@@bythecurb the food festival is over 3 days , I think it's on the first weekend in September. There are plenty of car parks on maps but most are closed for the marquees. There is a park and ride very close by, which I'm sure you would be able to stay overnight., many turn up in campervans.

That horrible building on the square, my mum used to work in the original building there. Apparently there was a lovely grey stone Georgian building there, that they pulled down in the 60's and put that horrible thing there. Sadly they pulled quite a few down at that time, but thankfully a lot of nice buildings are still left.

Had to watch this twice, what a beautiful town with incredible history. l left Mexborough in the 60's ( worked down Manvers Main pit ) and have lived in Australia for over 50 years. l think your videos are brilliant and are a great sourse of connection and nostalga for people that left Britain and live in other parts of the world.
