Terran spends all of it's time taking good trades to avoid bad trades. Zerg spends all of it's time taking bad trades because the alternative is worse trades. I don't know what Protoss is supposed to do and I don't think Protoss players know either right now.

Just play terran, you mostly need marines. If you want to mix it up put some maradauers and medivacs with the marines. You get easily Diamond League with that.
