The Byzantine Empire has long since ceased to be what it once was, but there is still hope of reviving its past Roman glories. With 3 other players, it is now a question of saving Rome or driving it to ruin. There are no fixed rules for all players, and the outcome of this round is uncertain. Will Rome survive, or will it have to submit to another nation in the end?

What I did when I played as byzantium was surender to the seljuks, and then quickly conquer north africa with holy wars, mostly duchy holy wars, and a kingdom holy war for egypt, after that I grant the titles. One thing to remember is making you're vassals have only one de jure duchy, it makes them easier to manage. While all of this I upgrade the economy and recruit alot pf cataphracts, plus I creat a new christian faith with me as head of faith.

I like the multiplayer games, but obviously you run into problems like your friends causing internal instability and then other friends trying to kill u
