Loved this guide. Myself I have been using the 22 rifle w/scope to bump my rifle score up. I let them all land then use your strategy of taking the ones farther out first. I do have my geese set out farther away than yours which makes so they don't take off when I first pop up.

Here's a few tips for geese hunting I'd like to share. When you're setting up your geese decoys, keep them within 30 metres of your blind, it makes hitting them with birdshot that much easier. If you're looking to level up your handgun skills, geese hunting with the Anderson .22 pistol is my favourite way of doing so.

Ooo, someone posted on Reddit within the past 1-2 weeks a location which is pretty much where you are at your 1st location at Petershain, at the top of those 2 fields, I kid you not, the animals keep coming and coming and coming, it's an endless supply of animals around that area, I haven't bagged a Diamond yet but plenty Golds! Other redditors mention they had some Diamonds, great spot regardless! I think they may have watched this video, then posted that location :o

Just downloaded the duck and cover and the goose dlc. Love the goose dlc. Not so much on the ducks. I geuss they've updated since your video because the birds don't fly that slow leaving now. They're running like 40 after the first shot. I've been having to let them land and group up and cut into them. After 1 maybe 2 shots they're all gone they fly so fast.

Just made 400k cash hunting geese for the past week, its my new addiction haha. I found out that the best way to hunt them is using 2 nordins so you'll have 6 shots just by switching weapons or with the cacciatore bc it also has 6 shots. Use the .22 rifle for the other geese that start flying when you fire your shotgun and you'll be able to take down entire flocks in 10 seconds. My fav spot is the last one in the video, in schonfield strawfields. You did a great video and hopefully this comment will help out other people have better luck in their hunting

Nice guide my dude! Do you goose/duck hunt irl? I seen that nice horseshoe shaped decoy group with the pocket in front for the birds to land. The arms on either side stick out a little too much, but it works! 😊

You won’t get full integrity for them if you use slugs, so you may mess up a diamond and not get as much $$

Ducks and geese should appear in the base game. If they don’t, you may have to download the free “New Species 2018” DLC to add them to the game. I’m not sure why you can buy callers without the DLC, I suppose they wanted to give people a chance to get ducks and geese without buying a DLC. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, the geese have a glitch that comes and goes with updates. Right now is a no-land time.

Yes there is! All my towers and outposts got reset during that playthrough, so I just said 'the heck with it' and just went with the tent... since I don't seem to go to that outpost much anyway! 😂

You’ll need to open your map, and there should be a button down at the bottom you need to press to move reserves. This reserve comes with the base game. On console, it’s ‘H’ while in the map.

The Cacciatore 12G should have a 6 round capacity- which even with the pumping to cycle the shells, should still be slower than the Nordin 20G SA, so I would probably say the Cacciatore! 😉

If possible, carry more than one shotgun and switch when the 1st one needs to be reloaded. (Make sure auto-reload is off of course)

I used tripod too for the vantage point, but it happened too often that one fly so close to me during landing that they abort a fly away. Only funny it the flock is in range, not so much if the one landing on you is the only one in range (well 22r can get some anyway)

Yeah, they posted a few weeks back that they’re aware of the geese not landing bug and attempting to fix it. Luckily we will be getting an overhaul of all flying waterfowl this spring (or so people say!) so hopefully both geese and ducks will be more fun to hunt!
