Is there any graphic difference between dcs steam and standalone?

C101 needs more love in DCS every one calls it's slow but it's such a joy to fly.

Yup. This is MY plane. Constantly drawn to it. Thanks for the tutorial, guys.

"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast." Haha, but I really do enjoy the uncommons.

I've started learning more about manual bombing and in the process came across a table showing frag pattern of Mk-82/84... That altitude drop would have a very high chance of hitting yourself (in the real world obviously... Everyone knows how the modeling of bomb blast is not quite what could be wished in DCS). Just in case anyone is like me and wants to do it as 'realistic' as possible...

Much more accurate method is to start 3500 m abreast the target at 270 kts & 3500 feet. Set the radar alt bug to 305m or 1000 feet when the target is just behind the canopy closing frame, which is approximately 70 degrees off the nose, pitch up 5 degrees and roll the wing through a 3g turn to target heading letting the nose fall through the vertical, till the horizon is on the top of the front canopy ring and roll rate is 0; hold this pitch angle and put piper over the target. Release the bomb when you here the radar altimeter warning sound. And roll away before overflying the target. The speed will be maintained and on 300 knots because the 3g maneuvering while rolling in will act with the same drag as a break for landing, with practice the rollout will finish just as your on target,on speed, at correct altitude, by using audible and visual canopy cues you keep your head up and don’t lose situational awareness. This also gives you the least amount of exposure time to the small arms aaa bubble over the target. Never fly straight the target or overfly the target after weapon release. Pilots who overfly their targets or fly straight in become nothing more than a casualty or POW statistic.

Are your distances (3500) and altitude (999) in meters or feet?
@diabolicalmistercheeze57194 жыл бұрын
Brown Floyd sorry feet so radar altitude bug would need to be set for 305 meters if its in meters, can’t remember off hand, altitude remains 3500 ft.

It should be easier to keep the speed in a 20 degrees dive. it's as hard as rewarding when you get it. My favorite plane.

C-101CC seems like a fun aircraft to fly

Yeah that fan seems a little annoying, but I just watched a Citation III takeoff and it had that recognizable sound. Same engine base, just outfitted of course per each.

Does anybody remember Flight of the Intruder? There were bombing sight tables in the printed manual.
