Recommended Parts
Motor - 2pcs 2208 1800kb
Ese - 2pcs 20a
Servo - 4pcs 9g
Battery - 3s 1200mah (I used 3s 2200mah, cracked open the front part of the fuselage and made a battery bay)
Props - 6x4
Receiver - 4 channel and above
Pros:
Good looking scale
Take off and land with wheels
Steady flyer
Large space inside the fuselage, can accommodate a lot of parts
Cons:
Hard to build (i dont have a talent in building planes 😅 )
CG is hard to locate
Main wing needs additional spar
Overall experience: 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I learned a lot from building this plane but building a plane is really not my thing 😅. Since CG is hard to locate I did crash it on its maiden flight but it flew like a breeze after locating the right CG.

Hi Mark. Good build and reformable too. I notice in the philipines Lemon is runway inspector, flight engineer, tower control, runway security and all round airport ambasator. Good dog that one.

Great vdo! Love this plane! Did you spray paint yourself? What kind of spray did you use? I have trief many kind on EPO foams but they are all eadily tear off. Thanks again for the vdo!

Terence Lee I totally agree it looks great specially while flying. Yep I did paint it myself, used a regular spray paint. It peels off easily so planning to scrape and repaint the plane soon. Found a technique in youtube where they apply a very thin layer of elmers glue before applying paint. Will make a video when I try it on this plane.

Hi Mark, just to let you know I finally found a way to paint on foam! I use Latex general purpose coat on foam then spray paint or mixed the acrylic paint with Latex then directly paint on it. The coating looks brilliant also feels elastic, so it won’t crack! I’m building my C160 now, thanks for your video again! LOL

It is better to not put flaps on the outboards of the wing it will just make the aircraft tip stall easier.

Hi there Mark. Thanks for the video. Can't wait for my maiden flight. I wonder if you could make a video highlighting the flaperons. During takeoff and landing. Can you maneuver like normal with the flaperons down?

Muhamad Izam Said i do not suggest using the flaperons unless your ailerons and hinges are cut and installed evenly (near perfect) or else one wing will drop. Watch out for the cg! Once balance and trimmed properly that plane flies like a beauty! Enjoy your trans all. ;)

That's not the Transall, this is a very accurate C-130 with just two motors. I've seen C-130 models not so close to the original as this one.

I would not recommend this type of "flaperon" where the ailerons are only on the wing tips. This leads to a virtual torsion of the wing which makes the tips stall first, leading to a spiral dive.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy at work. Where did you buy your kit? Bought the electronic i used in our local hobby shop. Motor size is 2208 (bigger diameter motor will not fit the motor cowling) 2pcs 20amp esc then 4pcs 9g servos. If you want a differential trust, you may need at least 6 channel receiver. But if you will use a y-cord for the motors and ailerons a 4 channel receiver will do. I fly it with high expo for better scale flying experience. Enjoy your plane, its a nice plane. ;)

hi there Mark.... I've made my maiden and it was awesome. self correct after aileron centered. maybe because of its high wing. i can fly with full confidence. i've made some mods to my transall by adding on permanent flaps (10mm 20 degress) cause i'm a slow flyer :) Hahaha.. and i've put spring coil at the landing gear say about 5mm lift. helps a little bit when i land badly. haha...
