I am from Yemen and I have good memories with the analog system in the early nineties, when I was receiving 22 analogue channels on the Arabsat satellite, 26 east.

The main reasons for the cap was back in the day when the polrotor (believe that’s what it was called) was not water proof. That little motor would get ruined if any rain was to get into it. That was how you switched from vertical and horizontal channels.

I found on the internet especially on the Indian market C-Band LNBs with 4 output, they are also available in South America.

You will laugh. When I was knew into satellite TV I thought that the C Band dishes where used only in the 70s and 80s only receives analog TV and now they are obsolete. And the Ku Band are for digital only. Later I learned that C Band and Ku Band work on different frequency and both work with analog and digital. And C Band is alive, well and digital. We Europeans never used C Band only Ku Band. That's why C Band was a mystery, thanks to you and Robbie Strike I no longer have questions about C Band. In some cases you must change the receiver and the LNB.

I had no idea about anything to do with satellite until I took up this hobby 2 years ago. We’re all on a learning curve!📡📡👍

Could you tell me which crimp is better for RG6 coaxial cable, the hex or pulldown type ??? Nice explanation of communication with MARS.

😆Compression is best for outdoor connections. Crimped generally works fine for indoor connections, in my experience. How to Install Coax Cable Connectors | Make your Own Coaxial Cable for Antenna and Satellite TV kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaHcmpamfdaJgJo

Covers are used to dress the dish up,not really needed if everything is properly sealed so moisture and water won't enter lnbf,lnb and feed horn.

Can the wire be zip tied to the supports
@NorthcoasterHobbyАй бұрын
@@TinnonFamilyFarm Yes, but don’t snug it too tightly. Electrical tape is better.

I like your idea for stands. Do you have plans to ever mount them in concrete?
@NorthcoasterHobby2 жыл бұрын
I intended to and even bought the 3-1/2” OD Schedule 40 steel pipe to do it, but the wooden stands have worked out good for me. The C Band Satellite Dishes I use for Free Satellite TV kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZrTk2SfrsiLqKM
