Al Giovannelli I’m not a musician and even I know the level of impressiveness this video is. I’m a huge fan of Jacob and Corey. There musicianship is insane. But for this guy to be able to break down their madness is insanely impressive to me! This was an awesome video. I do envy you musicians that do at least have the ability to mimic this in some way. I will just continue to sit back and marvel.

Ive been playing piano for 2.5 yrs and I understood about .5% of what the video talked about like when the narrator said F major, C major, Eb, etc I know what those are. Had no idea that there are notes like Csus7 (is that right?) No idea what sus is I need to look that up. Same with like, Fadd11 or whatever it was. No idea what that is LOL. Being an adult learner sucks

@icefire6622 Жыл бұрын
@@cupofsadge8359Those are Jazz chord symbols. Csus7 is C dominant 7th with a suspended third. A not-suspended C7 chord is C, E, G, Bb, but Csus suspends the third up to the fourth. (Csus7 = C, F, G, Bb). Fadd11 is just a F major chord with an added 11th (F, A ,C, Bb).

this video is so incredibly impressive. I can't imagine the number of hours it must have taken to transcribe their playing, analyze it, then create all these impressive digital visualizations of their lines to perfectly highlight exactly what is important. The analysis was well-paced, upbeat, with structural, emotional, and practical comments mixed in with theoretical discussion, without losing sight of the fact that this isn't a perfectly concocted piece, its just a jam. Absolutely amazing video, I subbed instantly.

just heard of jacob the other day. What you are doing is even more impressive. the initial scroll pan of the transcription was a great touch too. but mostly you have combined 3 forms of learning into this one detailed analysis. Hearing, reading, and visual learning. The visual for me is very important because while I love and appreciate fancy music I need those training wheels. This is far and away the most thorough video media analysis of a piece of (improvised!) music I've ever seen. Are there more people doing this? I will look -- thank you for the inspiration and attention to detail. totally subd *and! slowing the passages down was really helpful too, hear it then sloowwwed wtf!

Friend, as a filmmaker and musician, I have to say that the not only the THOROUGHNESS and tidiness of the content, but the flawlessly informative and effective visuals, is maybe just as impressive as the original piece. You put some WORK into deciphering what is a musical Rosetta Stone tablet, and then paired it with fantastic mograph work. Mad respect. I can’t imagine how long this took. You have a new sub. How the heck did you even scribe this?? (Ps the Mario Kart opener killed me!)

🙏 thanks so much for this. I really do appreciate. >> Graphical illustrations are bespoke >> Explanations have been vividly churned out despite being quite complex >> The animations helped to get some air at the excruciatingly drowning moments. Definitely, they weren't thinking of this when they played. I believe tremendous amount of existing and undiscovered theory's are unleashed when musician's get into the zone... However, their limits ultimately reflect in the execution.
