Giles's Mirage tank is actually cheating. A mirage tank should only be able to disguise Itself to look like a normal thing such as a tree, rubbish can etc. However, Giles's Mirage tank can disguise itself into an apocalypse tank, while moving. If this was in the official PvP matches. The allies have an almost 90 percent winrate

The allies: Have weaponized space with advanced laser-cannons and enough spy-satellites to apparently take high-definition photos often enough that nobody seems to notice what's in any of them The allies also: Totally don't notice a buildup of soviet materials in Cuba until explicitly told about it.

Well, I just realized something: the MiGs in this mission are far more powerful than the ordinary MiGs for two reasons. The first is that the MiGs here have infinite ammo and never need to reload, and this will be evident if you capture either a Crusher Crane or ConYard and tech up to Airfield and build your own MiGs. The second is that their attacks have increased damage.

Well, I have played this mission before. However, I wasn't expecting the bullfrog to take down the kirov during the cutscene. All I knew was that I needed anti-air early. Lucky placement I guess.

On my second playthrough i captured the soviet MCV at the start with one of the 3 engineers and took it to where our allied base is set up. That gave me full access to both allied & soviet buildings and units.

I bought this game a few days ago because I liked the cutscenes I saw on KZbin but now I'm stuck on this mission for now because a Kirov got past me. Can you tell me where this Soviet MCV is? That'd be a massive help in my campaign

@@dottietyre9062 I use one of the soviet engineers that i've bribed to capture the crusher crane so that it can repair damaged units and the other i use to capture the soviet MCV (the one that gets destroyed at 6:37). You have to capture it before the Mirage tank destroys it. Then you can carefully manoeuvre the MCV back to your allied base via the water channels. But i did this solely for fun. Soviet MCV will not give you any immediate benefit. On the contrary, if you try to pursue building a hybrid allied-soviet base, it might be impractical and might drain your resources. To prevent Kirovs from escaping - you and your co-commander are on either side of the island. Command Giles to attack Kirovs that head towards his half of the map and use your Apollos to shoot down Kirovs in your half of the map. I'd advise using 4 apollos with a few anti-air ground units or 8 apollos- since the MiGs guard the Kirovs in hard difficulty.

Why don't just capture the soviets base and use it to build the soviets war factory and then train a few kirovs????

While it's possible to build kirovs from a captured Soviet base, it would take too long and cost to much to built them as a offending army. You need to built an airfield and battle lab to built them. At the same time you still have to built anti-air against enemy kirovs which constantly spawns around the map. The enemy also has many anti-air units which will take down your kirovs easily, so you still have to built some ground army to defend them, which is a waste of resources when you can focus on a faster ground/air army. I built twinblades as they can attack and move faster eliminating any anti-air ground units quickly or chase them down. Also I like to clear the map if possible instead of just using kirovs to rush the objectives.

You can't. Even if you have a engineer, you won't be able to capture any of the stadiums.

I was planning to, but was managing my other troops. By the time I wanted to use the engineer in the bullfrog, the construction yard was destroyed by the allied ai before I had the chance to capture it.

Usually when the mission is about to end, I try to create a large explosion/destruction as a 'grand finale', this can include friendly fire. Its just something I do, I hope you don't get offended. Since the mission is about to end, the units aren't needed anymore.
