I bought one of these recently. It’s a nice little radio. I use it mostly as a pocket radio and also for camping. Great audio quality on headphones. Sensitive and selective enough for most stations in my area. Batter life could be better.

Found your channel just last weekend when trying to quickly research a mini radio that my brother wanted for AM listening while walking his dog and he is now very happy with it; the Eton Elite Mini. I then watched several of your videos and have since ordered and received both the Eton FRX2 in white and a black Prunus J-166. Today I was about to order this CC Skywave 2, but considering the fairly high price to get it to Canada, I set my sights on the Sihuadon R-108 - again thanks to you! Further todderbert video watching this evening finally led me to order the XHDATA D-109WB instead, which arrives here tomorrow. I feared getting the non USB C version of the R-108 and the D-109WB appeared as a solid choice too, within a couple of dollars less. Now Subscribed with Notifications on, I fear for my wallet here! Hej Todderbert thanks for the bandscans the C.Crane CC Skywave 2 seams to be a very nice radio i have no CCrane radio but i have to change that and, yes I am also waiting for my second SY-8801 radio with short wave band in black color. I have the white version with FM/AM but yes, C.Crane have very nice different radios which I am looking at and thinking about buying take care Todderbert and have a nice evening in Chicago.

I caught me a good knock down drag out Jerry Springer like argument on the Single Side Band frequency (39.33 mhz) between a "old" quarmer and one of the ham operators that is a regular on the frequency. Great time for popcorn, coke and late night ham fight. 😂

Sorry for all the questions lately. I'm not really smart when it comes to radios lol. How would this compare to the cc radio 3 model? And which has better reception in your opinion?

Both are in a different class of radio. One is mainly for table top, and the other for ultra light portability. If you desire a nice portable experience, the Skywave is the way to go. If you want strong Weather, and AM reception, get the CC Radio 2E, or 3 if you need the Bluetooth feature.
