You just made my day Ronnie! I know now what was missing in practice. I know these notes but unable to hit it with accuracy. I can see my paying transform with this great insight. Thank you so much for your wonderful tip.

Hey Ronnie, I just subscribed and am down the road a bit. A local Decatur, IL area blues harp player suggested I check out your content. Sincere thanks for your sharing and guidance on what Wendell Carlson called in the competition duck calling world "practice with purpose". I need to shift from playing by ear and feel to knowing the notes. This is great stuff. THANKS! Chris

Ronnie as a new player I have been wondering what do I practice to improve? I can play single notes and bends, even some blow bends but not all of them. My question for you is what should a beginner practice in a normal 30 minute practice session? Scales? Targeting like you show here? Creating licks? Bends? I’m just curious what should I practice rather than noodling around like I do which doesn’t really help me grow?? Thanks brother love your content

Learn chugs/rhythms, a couple of scales: major, blues and pentatonic. And definitely learn a song, a simple melody. The key is that you commit it to memory. Of course working with a backing track to find blues licks is cool too. There's more but that's a few.

@@Harmonica123 been working on bending , scales and just trying to relax , playing to backtracks I like McDonald stuff I have plenty of questions , like 😎🤪 am I really playing 2nd position or 1st dipping into 3rd also I think today you went with moving from notes to note I have been working on that , I like a 2draw , 4blow, 4draw back to 4 blow then step down 3draw 2 draw dirty notes

This beginbingsounds horrible. The flat 4 i think the church hung people if you played it. Ok gets different
@Harmonica12322 күн бұрын
Hey Ralph, are you saying that your 4 draw is flat? Nobody is going to hang you for that. It's good to take note and work on it, however.
