Yes, as long as they can notice the weapon and autoevade is on.

I don't think they turn on OECM automatically; that will require the player to enable, however they will be using their DECM automatically if available to the unit.

AMRAAMs shouls be able to be launched in Bearing-only attack. They can because it could be used if an aircraft with a pair of AIM-120s is confronted by a larger group of fighters, it could fire the missiles in the directions of the hostile group, and then kick on the afterburners and run away while the enemy evades the missile, which is capable of locking onto enemy aircraft with its own seeker head.

The fighter's radar controls the AIM-120 from initial to mid-course into the terminal phase. Once in terminal, the 120's seeker goes active and becomes self guided. Thus the fighter must maintain lock all the way until terminal - and in modern engagements they typically maintain lock to confirm splash.

I know that USAF fighters shot down an airborned MI-24 with a 2000 lb laser guided bomb. a bit of an "overkill" butt it worked. Can't remember what plane it was. and if it was in the Gulf War in 1991, during operation Southern or Norther Watch (no fly zones over Iraq in the 1990s), or in theBalkans conflict.

Failure to engage the Cessna was probably a bug due to the use of automatic detection. It wasn't an issue with altitude disparity because the game would have indicated that. Although I like how whenever you screw something up you pretend you're trying to teach the audience about tricks lol.
