Curious about the Amtrak trip and getting the bikes/bags home. Did you have to box them up?

No boxing we just had to hang them up in a baggage room. Unfortunately nothing is consist ant with Amtrak so it varies with each trip but as far as I am aware there are no more routes that require boxes. Most you hand up to the baggage car.
