C RAJAGOPALACHARI plan aimed at conducting a plebisicite after demarcating the muslim majority areas. C. Rajagopalachari plan wanted the Muslim League and Indian National Congress to make a combined effort to drive out the Britishers out of the country. However in response to the C Rajagopalachari plan Muslim League put forward some very impractical amendments which could not have been accepted by the Indian National Congress as a result of which the C Rajagopalachari plan failed. Sir , I am confused with the constitutional deadlock. Acc to cripps mission, the new constitution will only be accepted if a province not willing to join indian union , have its own seperate union and constitution. Now congress does not want such seperation against the National Unity. Thus, congress rejected. On the other hand, Muslim league wanted seperate nation, pakistan, explicitly manifested by march 1940 pakistan resolution. Was this the deadlock.? Both agreeing for opposite things. Pls help sir.
