Thanks for releasing these amazing videos… such a blessing every time you post. You’re taking Lewis’ advice by ‘reading old books’

Forty some years ago, I was in a maintenance team working at an oil refinery. Lunch times I sat at a table with other guys, one of whom had a bit of a strange name. I can't remember how it started, a discussion on our names. He became very adamant about the importance of your name, he argued very forcefully about it. I remember he was from Macedonia. His name, forgive the spelling I am guessing, was Antinous Atthanasio. It has always stuck in my mind. He was very proud of his name. Perhaps now I see why.

I have been reading "old books" since about six, in 62, returning from four years overseas, between Barcelona and Naples, a "navy brat". I began, because that was available, at a penny or a couple pennies cost. When I was older, sufficient to buy new books, I did, to expand my understanding of metallurgy, my field, and found even the "old metallurgy books" had far more information than new, and the information was far more accessible, down to earth. My sisters and I were raised in "the classics", with Opera, music expected, demanded, and we got a substantial advantage over our peers of the day. I've been working metal fifty years and more, and get greater value out of old, than new, and have grown from my salvation, returning from Beirut in 83, having spent the summer and winter there, and having felt like God sat on my shoulder, reminding me of "turning my back, walking away, at about ten. I only ran across C.S. Lewis's work in the last year, out of ignorance, but am amazed at his perception and true depth of faith. Our two children were raised with his Narnia books, and are both saved as well. I derived a great many titles to read, because of Clive, one of the humblest apologists I've read and heard. God Bless you and yours, you struck a chord with your statement. Semper Fidelis,

This was superb. However nothing touches the original On The Incarnation. This is a classic of classics.
