My rock bottom came one night and I felt terror and despair throughout my being. I made no excuse for my sins, I begged for God to forgive me. I did not want to ever sin again. I did not ever want to disappoint Him again. Immediately after my prayer to Almighty God, my guilt vanished, my suffering from it vanished, my self loathing vanished. I had genuinely felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I had genuinely experienced what I had heard so many give testimony to, I had genuinely felt the burden and the guilt of sin lifted from me and in its place was left the most incredible peace that no song had ever prepared me for. It is indescribable through words, truly. I was a man who constantly doubted everything, who made negative, everything. I have always been difficult to convince of anything foreign to me and yet of my Salvation there is no doubt. My anger is gone, my envy and greed is gone. My wicked desires are gone and I have a love for this Supreme being we call Almighty God and a desire to only serve Him and worship Him now and always. My every thought is of Him. I feel Him in everything, I see His work in everything. I cannot stop thinking of Him, I don't want to stop thinking of Him. I weep everyday with joy thinking of Him. This is why we were created, to worship Him, to serve Him and to love Him forever. When I think of Heaven, I only want Him. When I think of eternity with Him, it's not long enough. I have literally stood inside a door and pulled myself into the jamb and held it tightly wishing it were Jesus Christ and longing more for Him than my next breath. I cry because I can't contain what is in me and I don't know how to express it into words to tell others. It overwhelms me, it consumes me and I want more and more. I've never been more certain of anything and I want to grab hold of unbelievers and shake them into submission yet I cannot. I can only tell them what God has done for me and that He revealed Himself to me and pray that one day they too will understand the truth as I have.

Most don’t know that to start with, when C. S. Lewis first started out writing he did not know the Lord Jesus Christ. He learned about Jesus from a friend. In his first writings he is extremely dark (before knowing Jesus). So he learned of Jesus. He investigated and searched for Jesus. After that C. S. Lewis’s writings shows the depth to which he came to know our Lord Jesus the Christ. To me this shows the importance of TALKING about the love of our lives JESUS to EVERYONE. It’s important to remember GOD’S WORD IS ALIVE. As the word says, do not wonder as to what you will say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. What we need to do is to read the Bible continually so that Holy Spirit has much to draw on to give us the words to say. Speak to everyone. You might not know the outcome. Maybe it will take years for a person to come to the Lord, I know, it took me years. I’m grateful to the Lord for all the ones whom he sent to share with me the life saving message of Jesus.

I cannot write this without crying from the overwhelming emotion that someone, anyone, would love me enough to suffer on a cross for me.

So, god came down to "sacrifice" himself to himself in order to close a loophole he himself made? Why couldn't he have just said: "I forgive all of you for being what I made you.....now go back to what you were doing." Story said he died and then came back to life. Where's the sacrifice? I'd be glad to be tortured and killed if it would mean world peace.

In the realm of thought, where wisdom weaves its dance, C.S. Lewis, with pen, a philosopher's trance. He pondered questions, profound and deep, In the silence of pages, his ideas would seep. "What Are We to Make of Jesus Christ?" A query posed, as the sun kissed the mist. In the tapestry of faith, where shadows twist, Lewis sought truth, in the enigma dismissed. With ink as his guide, through the ages he strode, In the pages of musings, his spirit abode. "What claim has Jesus?" the words would unfurl, A quest for meaning, in the heart of the world. A carpenter's son, in Bethlehem born, A teacher of love, in a world forlorn. Messiah or myth, in the fabric of time, Lewis dissected the essence, in rhythm and rhyme. The Christ of history, with footprints in sand, The Jesus of faith, with an outstretched hand. Miracles woven in tales of old, Lewis grappled with stories, both silver and gold. "Lord, liar, or lunatic?" he questioned with might, A trilemma pondered, in intellectual light. A moral philosopher, in the arena he stood, Examining Christ's claims, as only he could. Yet, beyond reason's grasp, in the heart's quiet hush, Lies the mystery of Christ, a divine, sacred blush. In the chambers of faith, where belief takes its form, Lewis found solace, amidst the intellectual storm. So, in the echoes of Lewis' profound inquiry, The question remains, in the soul's sanctuary. What are we to make of Jesus divine? In the tapestry of faith, let our hearts intertwine.

I like this ALLOT! This is the first time I've ever heard C.S. Lewis remark on this side of the spectrum. If he believes in some sort of hell - enough to write "The Screwtape Letters", then it stands to reason he would believe in Heaven as well. I have read "The Screwtape Letters" long ago, back in high School when I came across it simply browsing in a library one day. I never really knew C.S. Lewis was such a wise person! He is also one of the few people I've seen that has picked up that little fact about Christ that most people don't know - that Christ is the ONLY one out of ALL religious figures that actually made the claim to be The Son of God. That is correct. Some excellent points made on something many people have a hard time believing. I am not one of those people. It's easy for me to believe because it's practical, moral and simple. I am blessed.

Thank you Mr Lewis! When the Lord Jesus said to the religionists of the age that they searched the scriptures (which testified "concerning Me") hoping to find life in them, yet would not come to Him for life, I was convicted and enlightened, and can now share that Christ is now my life, and, in an experiential, abounding way, that to me to live is Christ. I love Him, and call upon His name to (as in epikalleo Gk.) invoke His person, through praying His Word, repenting in the consequent light, confessing, and turning my heart, that I may be unveiled to behold, in exercised spirit, His glorious face and thus be saturated with Him as life eternal, with all the divine attributes of God expressed in His human virtues, ultimately adding His very self to me that I may continue to live Him, and to live to Him. OH, What a Life!!! May all His believers enter into this normal christian experience by His mercy and grace. Read in full the ministry of Watchman Nee and his younger co-worker Witness Lee to appreciate and apprehend this.

Parenting gives such an insight to the mind of God and the reason for Christ’s mission. If you’ve ever had a son or daughter who has struggled, who has made bad choices that could or does devastate their lives, you understand the impulse, the desire, to take their burden upon yourself. To suffer so they don’t have to. Because you love your child unconditionally you would, if you could, take the penalty for them... pay their price in order to free them. But because we are not God we cannot take their place, we cannot pay their price. But God can, and did... because we are his children and his love for us is truly the unconditional love of the perfect parent.

@Kilo bravo 66 what is it that you want? The events were nearly 2000 years ago our time. He was spoken of more and better known than most people, yet He lived and died and, yes, rose again in a tiny corner of an outpost of Rome. How should anyone know of Him at all? It is not my job to convince you. I only need to tell you what I know so you can make a decision to look into it or not. That is your choice. What I really don't understand is why you are so opposed to people who are convinced, who do believe and find their strength and joy there. Does it hurt you somehow that you are so angry? It is only a benefit to unbelievers to have believers among them. True believers are given the gifts of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control. These only benefit society as a whole. I was taught Jesus in Sunday school and day school. It's not something I wanted to do and when I left school I left behind the things of school, not giving them a second thought. At the age of 25 I had a dream, men or at least beings on a high plateau telling me that I was on the road to destruction. I went to a few born again christian meetings with my wife but when we split up it petered out. Then in 1990 I had a revelation. It's a long story but out of the blue at one in the morning it came to me that all this, life as we know it will be swept away and maybe in my life time. I didn't want to believe it, I was devastated and I pushed it away and got on with life. Then in 2003 another strange thing happened. A man outside Doncaster station asked if we had heard the good news, Jesus Christ was born to save sinners and that the end was coming, maybe not in my life time but in the time of a young woman that was present. Now my belief in Jesus is great, I try to walk in faith and read scripture everyday. I see the ruin of man all around me. To be honest I have seen the ruin and degradation of society building for many years but never so intense as it is today. Standards have fallen in almost every area. My advice to all is seek God, pray for your sins and ask forgiveness. Try to be the best you can be and pray for all mankind. Praise be to God, Amen.

If I may? Catholicism is not the gospel, it is about following rules and working with The Lord Jesus Christ to be redeemed/ saved. In true Christianity, our only task is to believe and worketh not. The righteousness of Jesus does "all" the work, we only need to believe in the shed blood of Jesus on the Cross and His resurrection. Our belief in Him and what He did, taking our sin and imputing His righteousness onto and upon all of us as believers is the most miraculous thing that has ever happened in human history. Love when Jesus scribbled in the dust, but the writers of the gospel didn't see it. I love Jesus and His spirit is still here: He loves us all without exception.

I was born into a Christian family. Was a staunch Christian. Then I switched to atheism. Now I think I might be wrong. Maybe Jesus is real. Please pray for me.

The fact that you’re questioning that you might be wrong could be God trying to reach you. In fact, I’m almost certain of it, because the same thing happened to me. Listening to that voice was the best decision I ever made. God will always keep calling you. It’s just your choice whether you want to hear Him or ignore that feeling deep inside you. Why do you think you keep having that feeling come up? Ask yourself. I mean that honestly. Btw I prayed that my comment helps to play some part in bringing you back to God. It’s the least I could do for all He has done for an ex-atheist like me. For years I made fun of the Bible. I tried to convince others He didn’t exist. I am so ashamed of that- because when I came back to Him, He blessed me with happiness, wealth, peace and love beyond my wildest dreams. All the things I denied myself for years by turning my back on Him. Yes, it was never He that turned his back on me. It was me that turned my back on Him. After all the things I’ve said and done- I’m still loved by Him. I can never go back and change those things... as much as I wish I could. But God doesn’t hold that against me because that’s how perfect His love is. I would not say this to you if it were not true. I would not waste my time typing this if I didn’t know the same opportunity is there for you. Trust me.

I'm praying for you Christopher. It takes humility to admit you might be wrong. Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life - John 14:6

The Lord Jesus Christ is our only access to God and His unconditional love and mercy. The shed blood of Jesus on my cross is our only hope

@@ballstrykerbandito8978 Let’s pray for our brother Christopher. He is obviously being called back to God. I know the struggle. I was there some years ago. It’s human to make mistakes. I denied God for so long. We are here to learn and love- so many of us stray from God and turn to other things, but that’s ok! We are forgiven! I can promise Christopher that God pours so many blessings out to those that come back to Him. Nothing makes Him happier than to have a lost soul back in His arms. Again- I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t KNOW that through personal experience! I cannot even begin to explain what happened to my life after I told God I was sorry and that I needed Him and His love and His forgiveness. I went from being a homeless, suicidal drug addict to being a wealthy, supremely happy man with not a care or a want in my life. And yet it’s not about that anymore. It’s not about what He can do for me- it’s what could I ever do to repay him for his unwavering mercy and grace. I didn’t deserve a bit of it- and yet, he poured it out on me. God is THAT POWERFUL AND GOOD! I was so broken and now I am whole! THANK YOU GOD! THANK YOU FOR TURNING MY ENTIRE EXISTENCE AROUND! Again- this comes from an ex-atheist that once hated the only one that has ever truly loved me! God does not hold grudges! Just ask him- sincerely ask him to forgive you- and ask Him to heal you and bring you back. Then seek Him. I will forever testify that it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. I once spit at Him and now I bow before Him. And I ALWAYS WILL. He loved and forgave a wretch like me and I could never be more grateful. Truly.

@@gowdsake7103 You do have a belief system. You believe that your time is well spent commenting on youtube, clearly. Then, of the near limitless things you could engage in on youtube, the thing you claim is a con, a scam, a waste of time, lunacy, happens to be the thing you are focusing on above all else. If you reply back to this comment it is proof. I read your comments and feel emotion in your content. Your are invested and you do believe that you need to express yourself in this situation. Furthermore, everyone has a belief system. You believe you must take a breath of air, you believe you must have an income, your computer and internet access comes at a cost. If you function in any society you follow the generally excepted rules otherwise you get cast out. You believe in communication you have been doing it here. Do you believe that it is ok for anyone to come along and murder you and take your possessions if they should feel like it. I doubt you would agree to that. Therefore you believe that you have rights. Most people that do not want to take responsibility are inclined to adopt a religion or belief system that always has a get out of jail free card attached. Let me guess you do not believe in "till death do us part" either do you. You think you are sane because you claim to base your views in reality, when the majority of what has shaped your reality has been rooted in Christianity. Do you believe that the 10 commandments are foolish imaginations like sky fairies? Should murder, adultery, stealing, assault, rape, human trafficking, lying, cheating, vandalism all be legal and excepted to likely happen to you or those you may care for. With no belief system, there is no meaning, no purpose for anything, nothing is or can be. Would you have everyone around you behave that way. Or would you rather have neighbors that do a decent job at following the golden rule? I believe that we are and should be accountable for our actions. I believe that our actions will echo for eternity. I believe that there is universal good and bad. No one likes to suffer or to hurt. Most people work hard to get to a state of happiness. I would claim a certain amount of mental depression that makes my state of happiness low on average. This state make suicide appetizing. Anything is better than being uncomfortable in my own skin. Imagine being on a cliff edge of a heavily forested mountain. Imagine the forest is on fire and burning in your direction. The fire gets hotter and hotter and eventually panic sets in. You could jump off the cliff to certain death below, or you could burn up in the fire. Sometimes I feel like jumping off the cliff to escape being consumed in flames. In my case I realize that I am not actually going to burn to death, it is all in my head, all be it the pain seems real enough, it is not so real as to actually jump(metaphorically speaking). Imagine an innocent creature, a deer, or child or otherwise person you care for is up there with you who may actually die in the fire, maybe you could rescue them from burning to death, it may just be worth it to endure the awful feeling of burning to death to care for loved ones and make their lives meaningful and worth living rather than letting the world burn down because you or I are perpetually on fire. Maybe we should become firefighters and let the sensation we live with motivate us to protect others from the same fate or worse. Maybe we could be trustworthy, reliable, honest, virtuous, noble and heroic in spite of the terrible world. Maybe I deserve to burn to death, but that is no reason for everyone else too as well. Why is Batman such a compelling character? Why is Jesus Christ the perfect example and archetypical man? So we can have an example, a goal to work towards, a higher cause, a reason, a purpose a meaning. Why struggle for good? Well the alternative is bad. I believe that there is a God and that what we do matters now and in an eternal perspective. You say I am a lunatic, a lunatic who believes in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, I may say that I follow the admonition of Paul-I believe all things, I hope all things, I have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after these things. A lunatic is the person who does not want a neighbor like that, or a coworker or a family member or any context someone like that. You can criticize me all you want, but a lunatic is to me a person without a belief system, just a leaf in the wind, useless, pointless worthless. I count you as none of those awful things. You are my brother or sister, I wish you well, I hope you find joy and happiness in this trying world. I should hope to stand beside you in defense of our freedom should the occasion require. I would ask you to check your beliefs, I would ask you to question your motives for vilifying me. I would like to be your ally.

These are no doubt the most caring words I´ve heard about Jesus... But I resist... Till God really pities and enlightens me. “Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths.” By the time of Jesus life was so much simpler. Everybody´s dreams were close enough to each other´s. So Jesus, the apostles, nobody lies, everyone dreams...

The account of Jesus writing in the dust is the fulfillment of Jeremiah 17 :13,14.."O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who abandon You will be put to shame. All who turn away will be written in the dust, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water. Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise."...Jesus was writing the names of those leaders who had rejected Him with their hearts... Don't let your name be written in the dust..Shalom and Maranatha!!
