It is always a pleasure to listen to Michael Ward. Thank you for posting this interview. I found it interesting that he circles back to the concepts of dulce et decorum est and to views of contraception. In particular, I found it interesting in After Humanity how George Orwell wrote on contraception.

Michael Ward is right, generally speaking, to say contraception is not addressed in pulpits. But I do recall Michael Nasir Ali (while he was still an Anglican bishop) challenging the view that it was okay for Christian couples to deliberately have childless marriages... Mind you, I don't recall him receiving much support, if any, from other senior churchmen.

We do desire to be around holy and pious people if we are Christian. This is why I love men like Father Calvin Robinson. He stands up for truth and the gospel, and I am beginning to emulate him in my own life. His holiness draws me to want to be closer to Christ, so that I might make myself more holy. I want to reflect the Lord's holiness in my life.
