I was stationed there 2 years in 1980 and 81. I was in Aviation Firefighting and rescue. AKA Crash Crew..

Spent a few years there,79,80,81 with macs-7,enjoyed the weather,near perfect place to be stationed.

1987-90 2nd LAAM BN, there was a place some miles away from there that the "grunts of the air wing" as we were called, trained at. it was called P111. back then the whole place was desert. witch was perfect come to find out. Because in desert shield/storm we were the best acclimated Marines to hit the middle east. PS. Happy Birthday Devil Dogs.
