Very nice. I liked the video about the chest and casks. I liked the offset of the panels to lock each piece in. Those Viking sandals are interesting too, got any patterns for them too? Lol. I couldn't help but notice the "A" frame for the tent, do you have a video or instructions for them? Scratch Cornelius ears for me. Skal, from Vineland.

Very good my friend! However, your research is really limited to the small anglo world and few Nordic uses. Allow me to tell you about the world "baúl" The original early word for baúl was tronco. Yes, "tronco" Even the Italians use it now/today. So, was is the big deal? Tronco was made form a hollow piece of a tree. Zero carpentry skills. baúl is a prizei and much more elaborated iten, many, many hours of fine carpentry skill. BTW. *** Etymology** is a science practiced very little in the English limited world. This is why anglos always get in deep *dudu* while translating from other languages. ha,ha,ha!!! I forgot; British pirates knew the word "baúl" very well. Guess why?

I am thinking about to get rid of my roman first name and use one of the germanic names from my ancestors from my fathers side. This name is Rein/Reindert. This name is from Noord-Holland. Many names in my family are from the Romans or Hebrews like Johannes(Jan), Simon, Antonie etc. Antonie is from my mothers father, a farmer from Brabant province. My last name goes back to a town in Noord Holland named Schagen ( Skagen, Scaghon, Scagon or whatever). It has something to do with the land- or seascape.

Hej Tom.

Welcome back my friend!! .....Years ago i use to work in a butcher house killing cow/pigs That is where i learn how to put a edge on a knife... Rub the edge on both side equally, Next rub ( only one side) until you get a wire edge on the other side ( check with your finger nail ) Next rub the other side until you have a wire edge on it >>>>>> Next keep rubbing one side then the other side ( lightly ) until the wire edge isn't there no more. ....( DO NOT PUT the fingers on the sharp edge because it will be like a razor blade!!!!

Hey Tom. Viking chest is awesome. Very interesting information on chests. I appreciate the translations you always give. Very cool finding that ship. The shape of the chest, the wide bottom part, would make it very stable I imagine. Perfect for a ship to keep it from turning over. A lot of thought put into the construction of your chest. That is a REALLY cool chest. Excellent build!! Take care and thanks for the video. ATB🏕
