My brother had trucking in his blood. Shortly after he retired he fought a long battle with cancer. So in his memory I painted his truck on the side of his urn. He would've been happy. R I.P. little bro.😢This song is classic country!😊

Man this song kicks so much ass!!! I'm 24, and buddy my soul was made to drive, finally found me a job driving an 18 speed Pete! This song pumps me up on them dark lonely nights 🤘🏻 I'm trying my hardest too kept the old breed alive, I was born in the wrong generation, listening to you old timers just down right upsets me, because I've truly missed out and it's a thing of the past anymore...

Don't give up looking for things from the past because they are out there. Along the interstates are the worst. Many small towns, especially in the Midwest, still date to another era.

Spent several years trucking like this. Hauled livestock all over. Two C.W. McCall songs to relate to. This one and Wolf Creek Pass. Used to load lambs out of Yuma, way on the heavy side, and had to go over wolf creek pass in the middle of the night getting to Eaton. About a 20 hour trip. Now that I have a life with out trucks, it seems crazy to have lived this way.

My brother and I were hauling up highway101 one night in my Trans Am doing about 80 when the speed limit was double nickles. Suddenly something came out of the dark, grabbed a bunch of brake and this tumbleweed about the size of a basketball came rolling across the road. My brother asked "what did you think it was?" I said "I don't know but it sure looked a lot bigger when I first saw it coming out of the dark." He said "OK it looked bigger to me too." It was funny later in the trip when we started talking about our new line of bumper stickers that said "I brake for tumbleweeds"
