Dad put a CB in the family car for all the summer road trips. We’d get a heads up from the truckers to watch out for that plain brown rapper taking pictures up ahead. Ask a trucker today what happens if you go breaker one nine on that radidio.

Yup!✋🏼 It popped on my feed so I had to watch. My ol man was a truck driver (local) so when I was a little guy I was always SUPER jacked up about trucks and CBs. Ol man had a CB in his pickup and he would let me talk to the truckers. He always told me “stay outta them trucks! You stay in school!” I tried that but I was quickly bored. I “cheated” my way into a CDL and a truck driving job. It was cool as hell for a few years and it was great $$ at the time but then I was stuck in it. Couple years ago I retired after 30+ yrs and I’m done! I don’t care if I never climb up in a truck again. Btw- seeing this clip also brought back memories from the early 70s. I always loved me some Hee Haw! (Rant over….)

My dad drove a KW and had 2 million on the first engine and replaced the engine and put 1.5 on the other, at Tyson foods,,no dents and he drove 43 years in his life and only one scratch on the trailer because of a limb hanging over road ,, total 6.8 million miles in 43 years and love to go with him on trips ,,,,

When I was a child my father bought this LP. When my parents split up it was given to me. My mother hated this album and threw it away 6 to 8 times. Every time she threw it in the trash I just happened to see it and saved it. I turned 54 this year and I still have the album my father bought all those years ago!

I had a cb in my car back the heyday of CB... One day I was "driving the slab" and spotted a cop on the other side hiding behind an overpass. So, being a nut, I grabbed the mike and announced "Breaker 1-9, y'all got a bear at mile 143 eastbound" A few seconds later I hearr "Yeah and this bear's got ears" :-)
