🚩 Nonimmigrant persons working on board sea vessels or international airlines in the United States must hold a valid C1/D visa to be allowed into US while on duty.
If traveling to the US to join the vessel they will be working on, US D visa holders must also obtain a C-1 visa. In such instances, a combined C-1/D visa can be issued.

I was at the Embassy last Wednesday for my interview here in Harare Zimbabwe.The consular did not make a definite decision and handed me a 221g slip.Got an email the next day that Administrative process had been completed and the rest is history.My visa was approved a day after my interview.Got a 5 March 2023 start date from my company.

You can apply in Dubai if you are a legal resident of Dubai. Make sure to carry your valid resident permit to the interview. If not, go back and apply from your home country.

I was once rejected for F1 visa 10 years ago but now I will be applying for C1D visa and my only question I cannot answer correctly is DO U HAVE A FAMILY OR FRIEND IN US? I was rejected because I mention a friend who was not going to school and got F1 visa, so if I say in this coming interview that I don have a friend in US they might know…. @@gracenamukonda it’s fine just make sure you know all that is in your contract such me of vessel, ur salary, length of contract, your last ship if u have work on a ship before, also know very well your duties and responsibilities when you will be onboard then show them that the moment u finish your contract you will be back home with ur family, don tell them you anyone in US or u will be visiting anyone…… wish you good luck

Good morning from Nigeria, im supposed to join a vessel in the US on 2nd February. I have submitted my application and booked an interview but the date given to me is March next, i decided to book for an emergency interview but was denied, i had to pay again in order to book another emergency interview.
