Great information! I ran into the same issue with a set of Vision Legend 6 wheels I purchased. I feel much better now knowing when Zach swaps out my front drums for discs, the wheels will at least fit in the front. The rear wheels, of course will need some help! Thanks!

Slick idea, would probably sell a bunch if you made a triangle version for 5x5 guys I had to mill my 5x5 2.8” register method race wheels to fit my 3.1” square body registers on a lathe

Not that you need to, but I would use a 1/4 inch rod in place of the drill bit, and add a stop on the rod, so drilling depth is limited, but brilliant idea, great job.

You can use this in any 6x5.5 wheel. You could order the bracket only and get whatever hole saw size you need.

I don’t think they make a 1 inch spacer for that. I would suggest you getting another brand steelie like Detroit steel to have 5x5

This is awesome! How low can I go and use these transport wheels without cutting inner fenders or using spacers in the back? I'd like to do a modest lowering job and not have to do any mods to the body of the truck. Is this possible? '63 short stepside

A stepside is going to need a 1 inch spacer on the back. I’ve had a few of them. You can do a 4/6 drop on these trucks without any issues with bored front (unless you have disc brakes) and spacers in the back. Link to spacers are in the description as well.

I’m confused, I thought the transport wheels weren’t road worthy from the factory. Something about welds and core charge and dealers had to dent the edges of the rim for disposal? Are they safe to run?

They are DOT approved stamped on them and thousands of trucks run them daily.

That's been debunked by MANY people. I have transport wheels on my Silverado with 15,000 miles and zero issues. Fully welded, HAS a DOT stamp on the wheel, balanced fantastic! There's only down side is they are heavy.
