C20 DUALLY PAINT RESTORATION

In this video, which was filmed over multiple weeks, we introduce our next project which is a 1988 C20 SRW Utility truck that will be converted to a long bed single cab dually. We lovely call this truck "drama dually". This donor chassis has a great vintage paint scheme. We will transfer the doors, fenders and hood to the C20 as well as the dually axial and bed. We used a three step process to bring the paint back to a high gloss with minimal effort. This truck wears it's original single stage paint, which should hold it's shine. Also, while we were at it, cab lights were added and installed as well. Already falling in love with this next shop truck.
Three Step Paint Restoration Process:
1. Decontamination with Comet and Scotchbrite pad
2. Buffing with black wool pad on a rotary buffer with Presta Heavy Cut compound
3. Polishing with Presto Green foam pad and Ultra Polish

Very kitschy-cool! The red/burgundy really looks awesome. (Hmm... "Ron Burgundy"?) I can't recall if you said you intend to spot the graphics in on the cab? At a quick glance it doesn't bug me. But looking at it for any length of time, all I see is that vertical white bar breaking up the sweet graphics.
