I love this tutorial. There is no unnecessary comments and droning on. It’s straight to the point. You see the stitch and pattern without waiting forever to get on with it. Thank you for that. I subscribed and liked. I will definitely pass this on to my family and friends.

This is 1 pattern I can not get. I have watched several different tutorials and still can not get it right. But thank you for the tutorial, it is definitely one of the better ones I have watched. You are a great instructor!!!! I absolutely love the candy cane boarder you did. I never saw anyone do that before, it does tangle the yarn if you don't keep an eye on it but it's worth it.

Thank you for the idea and tutorial. I really like working with hdc for the c2c pattern. I happened to purchase the same Caron Cotton Cakes yarn but in different color, Sunset Dreams. The color called out to me for a C2C stitch pattern. However, it has been a while since I worked with this pattern; I forgot how to start it. While searching on KZbin, I found your tutorial. It just happened to be in the same yarn which helped me to see the result. So, I made the baby blanket and it turned out so well. On the side notes. I read some comments about using smaller hook size to work with the pattern in dc in order to minimize the gaps between the DCs. I tried that too and although, it worked as they claimed, I ended up choosing the hdc for the c2c pattern. The reason? With the hdc in this c2c pattern, it created a slightly thicker fabric which was more suitable for my nephew's baby who lived in cooler climate. Again, thank you for your time & work to create and post this tutorial.

Ok I’m confused though on if wanting to make a square baby blanket and not rectangular one.. not sure the decreasing whole process to start to finishing it up. I need a slower video tutorial for this beginner in the c2c . Also how many of these cotton cakes does it take to make a baby blanket size and how long does it take to make one? Thank you 🙏🏻

Well this is a year too late lol...if you are ready to decrease, you need to do the decrease how she explains in the video at the beginning AND end of each row. If you only do a decrease on one end, you will keep going and it will turn into a rectangle.

If I were to change the yarn at every new row, how would I do it?
@whitneydiggs5439
@whitneydiggs5439 4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what level of crocheting you are at so I hope this makes sense. You change colors when you are on the last DC of the row. You complete the first part of the DC (yarn over and pull through first two loops). Stop here and grab your new color. Then complete the DC by pulling the new color through the last two loops of the DC. You can either drop the old color and weave it in later or you can crochet over it with the new color and continue with the pattern. It's just like if you run out of yarn and you need to grab more yarn to keep going. There are tutorials on KZbin showing how to do this. Sometimes seeing it is easier than reading directions. I hope this helps... hopefully I didn't confuse you!!

@MariasBlueCrayon

You can start decreasing once the piece is the width you'd like. So if you want to make a baby blanket that is 36" wide, then once one side gets to 36" wide, you can start decreasing :)
